Very good PSU and decent price, other PSUs have gone up but this one seems to have dropped a little. I’m sure I paid £200 for the same model a few years back. This is worth the extra for premium builds imo.

1000 watt when you buy a well made psu you get real numbers, when you buy a £30 no name brand that says 500 watts and another label that says real power 350 and is very light weight you are getting your £30 worth not a £170 psu, this conversation has been had on gamersnexus, jayztwocents, linustechtips on youtube, these guys know more on this subject than anyone else i know so fill your boots and look at their reviews and examination reports on cross brand comparison on whats good and bad i really hope this helps you to become more informed on this area of PC building.

Yes 1000 watts is not written my bad. i would assume the 1000 in the name would suffice corsair being the best if not one of the best psu makers people usually know but if you click the link it takes you to the page which tells all about the psu, sorry if its your first time using hotdeals i am sure their are instructions somewhere for you 🏽 (edited)

I have the old OCZ Gold 1000W PSU It works fine, but I wonder how much longer it's going to be compatable with a latest generation system.

I also wonder if this model is going end of life as it appears to be being reduced in many outlets.

Yes its probably going to end of life due to pcie5 coming out which is essentially 3 x 8 pin pcie power cables of this power supply, you will only need the one cable in future instead of 3 not a big deal to be honest and your current psu is absolutely fine i am sure they came with 10 years warranty i wouldn't bother changing unless your really have too.

This is the best investment in terms of PC parts I've ever made.

Bought it from Amazon 7 something years ago for £122 and still going strong on a second system now, can easily see it lasting 10+ years unless the standards dramatically change.

This is a screenshot of the Last of Us running on 5900X with 4x16GB 3600Mhz, 6800XT, X570 motherboard with 4 NVMes, 6 SSDs, an HDD, 12 RGB fans, a 360 AIO and a ton of peripherals and its not breaking a sweat with the fan off.

It also has a 94% efficiency ratting, and I beleive it easily paid for itself with the amount of gaming I've done on it.

You dont need 1000W but a really good (platinum) 650-850 will just about handle everything, and will pay for itself in the long run.
