Not going to buy another Corsair product any more.

An SSD stopped working after less three years. Submitted the RMA request, waiting in the dark for two whole weeks, after sending them a lot of messages without any replies, finally got my request approved. Now I need to pay for the postage to send it to Netherlands for the RMA.

No chance I am buying any more Corsair products in the future, and I will tell everybody the same thing.

If you go to S C AN (who are apparently banned 🤷🏻‍♂️) you can get an SN740 1TB for £99 got one recently bit cheaper, free delivery, and arrived within a day of ordering also. Works nicely in my steam deck! Now I can hoard even more games that I’m not going to play (edited)

I took the risk and bought my steam deck wd 1tb ssd from a well known China retailer. The seller in the store was JBL. Cost about £70 with 2 weeks shipping.

I knew the risks of doing this, but I got lucky I think. It’s a bit of a gamble if you want to save a bit of money.

I agree, I have had several expensive items from China eBay without issue. Obviously there are risks but if they have thousands of positive reviews I don't see the issue. I actually picked up a 2TB WD SN 740 2230 in November last year. You can now get them for £170 from China.

anyone know if these will work in a series x with one of those adaptors?

If you mean a USB adapter, yes it will. But you will not be able to save Series X optimised games on this, only old games. Also the speed of this will be severely throttled by USB. You'd be better off getting a 1TB SATA SSD for £40 for that.

Edit - my bad, didn't realise there are adapters available now. Would be interested to know as well. (edited)
