It's going in the right direction - anything under £250 and I'll bite

    Under £175 and I'll chomp.

The best PCIE gen 4.0 SSD. This imo beats the Samsung 990 pro with/without the drive degeneration issues.

WD is the leading Disk drive specialists since years whilst Samsung isn’t, so quite obvious.

Great drive, was £256.99 last month with the WD spend and save

Good price compared to a few months ago. Probably wait to see if something further happens on Prime day maybe.

That said, given the current discount, can’t imagine it will drop more yet at Amazon. (edited)

Wonder if this will go cheaper with Prime Day?

It's always going to get cheaper. Rule is if you need it and actually do need it then buy it unless an imminent massive price drop is coming otherwise wait. Always wait where possible if you don't need.

Wow. I paid £150 for the 2TB version and thought that was a good deal. This is even better. SN850x best PCIe 4.0 drive on market IMO.

The 4TB fanxiang S770 is close to this spec and £219.99.
Though this is still a good price for a 'big name' brand, most of the others aren't even close! (edited)

But not sold by Amazon directly, so who knows what you're getting

    Well that didn't last long.
