It wasn't when posted, because I always check the total before the payment stage, just before checkout, but is now. Ha. Bonus!

Love the rate at which NVMe Storage is falling. Personally waiting patiently for the named brand sub £200 4TB deals. PCIe 3 would do me fine as well.

Yea nvme m.2 decreasing in price quicker than ssd's did before! Seems manufacturers are making more of nvme's 1/2TBs then ssd from my research

Hey folks, does anyone have any thoughts on the following:

Want to buy this for a PC with a single gen3 m2 socket. Am I right in assuming this is compatible and also won't need a heat sink? The PC is pretty well cooled, with multiple variable speed fans (system temp is generally 30-40 degrees under average load).

Secondly, I'd like to clone the existing WD Blue SN550 and replace this one as a boot drive - does anyone have a good rec for an external caddy for an M2; and any gotchas for doing this!

Yes, Pcie4.0 is backwards-compatible with 3.0. If you plug the pcie4.0 ssd into your pcie3.0 socket, it will automatically downgrade to pcie3.0.

Yes, I saw the Sabrent and it looks really good. Thanks for confirming :-)

I have, of course, got really into the weeds over this upgrade and have seen so many comments and reviews telling me to buy this or that. I noticed that the P3 has a really poor performance once it runs out of cache, but in day to day gaming and video editing I wondered if I'd ever notice! Too much information really does fluster my mind lol
