Pretty sure it has even lower JEDEC timings in the table so it'll run 2400MHz too

The modules are not dual rank. It is not specified but you will be buying Model
CT16G4SFRA32A.M8FF - 16gb 1rx8 modules. The dual rank ones are usually labelled CT16G4SFRA32A.M16FJ (edited)

I think it is a bit of a lottery to be fair. Crucial haven't listed what they actually are, and the Amazon listing states 1R or 2R, so a gamble.I purchased a set a few weeks ago that were 2R from this listing. I can only assume Crucial make x1000 and then whatever doesn't hit top-tier QC gets put into something like this model? Even if you get 1R still good value for money, plus it is subjective whether 2R is a actually go or bad, depends on your workload. E.g. a FPS game might be slightly better with 2R, but more linear tasks might be better with 1R. (edited)

Probably won't last long, with companies clamoring for AI tech and the silicon burden that entails.

It says dual rank in the title, not sure how the OP is certain. The specs say it could be either on the Amazon listing. (edited)

Not sure if this is actually a glitch or not. I just ordered another set for my HTPC, because why not at this price. Then the checkout order bit has a lot of "promotion applied" , though I have no vouchers or anything? weird.

Is it suitable for upgrading RAM in Synology DS1522+ NAS?

Or should i go for that one instead? amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

Not heard of TimeTec (so no personal experience).
From your NAS you could run Crucial's scanner or check other upgrades on Youtube.
    Possibly checkout: reddit.com/r/s…ad/

Personally, if it was me, I'd go with the Crucial being a more known brand (consumer arm of Micron).

    Well TimeTec is recommended/tested by
plus it is Dual Rank which apparently is better and I am not sure if Crucial is the same.

Yeah providing it takes DDR4 (6th generation onwards if I recall) and not an older nuc on DDR3.
