Was looking at this in-store earlier this week and wondering whether to take the plunge.

I’m interested in reducing my energy consumption, and as a single person, it seems a massive waste to be turning my oven on just for a few potato waffles or veggie burgers.

This mini-oven style appeals to me more than the air fryer with the pull out tray that seem to be sweeping the nation at the moment, due to the separate shelves making it easier to cook several different items at once.

If anyone has any views on or experience of the different types, I’d love to hear

When it comes to saving on costs by using less energy the biggest factor is the amount of space you have to heat for what you want to cook.

Small ones are great for this as you're only heating an area of a few litres to cook a small amount of food instead of the space you'd heat in a full size oven. The fan helps here too as you don't need to preheat either.

Essentially you want to think about what's best for what you will need. From the sounds of it this will be good for you.

Keep in mind however that this means if you wanted to cook a small amount like a couple of jacket potatoes then this wouldn't be as economical.

Always up to the individual to pick the right product for their needs in the end. Ideally if you have space and cash for it something larger like this plus a small one for when you just have a small amount to cook would be the best setup. This would help minimize energy waste and also give flexibility with the capacity to handle cooking for multiple people.

Typed more than I intended to lol. Hopefully helpful to you or anyone else looking at these. (edited)

Is this OK to plug straight into a wall socket.?
    Bravura's avatar
Yeah that's what it is for. For reference, the wall socket can take up to 3000w. Just don't plug it into an extension that shares other heavy wattage devices (i.e. another airfryer, kettle, etc). As per the title of this airfryer it is 1800w.

I suspect these are generics that are branded later. Mine, that I bought from Amazon.de is brilliant especially for chips in the rotating basket! Cooks quickly and evenly and doesn’t cost the earth to run.
Check the dimensions though, as I don’t think many shop bought pizzas would fit

Bought for £94.99 as education staff can get an individual discount code £5 off through the discounts for teachers website (purple smile logo) but I couldn't apply the freedel code too so I'm cick and collecting, but I hope that helps someone (edited)

Just collected it. I don't have a lot of ready made food but made potato wedges for 4 from scratch and then parsnip crisps, so I think this is going to be very useful. Glad I got a rotisserie one. I am going to try baking a cake next.

That sounds like good value for the size

Are these ok to fit a pizza in?

put in as slices on a low setting to stop them rapid carbonising and they are fine, garlic bread the same.

I have been thinking about getting one of these higher capacity air fryers but I already have a microwave table top-sized Kenwood (Model K30CSS14) which is a microwave / grill/combo and convection oven all-in-one. Bugger to clean but as it is a convection oven does it already operate as an 'air fryer'?

Also i noted that a sticker on the Daewoo box in Robert Dyas states Daewoo offer a three year warranty on this although I don't know what their T & Cs are that apply so not sure if this is a standard guarantee or you have to pay extra.
    COMARANTZ's avatar
Extended DAEWOO and TOWER warranties apply when simply registering the purchased product on the importers website. (edited)

This looks exactly the same as my Lakeland one. A good little air frier - but small. You can do pizza but not large ones so would need to cut it up probably. You also get a 3 year warranty from Lakeland too.

Daewoo and Tower branded products might appear similar, that is because both brands are marketed by the same importer and distributor.

Wish I'd bought this instead of the Scoville from Asda, this one has 3 shelves, the tumbler and the removal tool for the rotisserie.
How do you remove the rotisserie on the Scoville without burning yourself or making a mess.

We've had this one a couple of years and it's fantastic.
Used every week since buying and not a single issue.

Can just about get a 1.4kg chicken on the rotisserie, so perfect for a small family.

Can you point me in the direction of where I can get recipes specially for this air fryer...
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
There are usually free ebooks popping up on Amazon for this type of air fryer (check the freebies page every now and then).
I'll see if any I have are still free.

    For now there's this -
    towerhousewares.co.uk/pag…ook

Found a few that were free on Amazon, then remembered I have Kindle unlimited so no use unless you also have it. (edited)

Frozen chips are taking over 20 mins I think...similar to conventional oven..how comes!
    WiganLaticsFan's avatar
It is a conventional fan oven. Frozen chips might take a couple of mins less than an oven but they're crispier. Use our tower one every day. No preheating needed is the main advantage for us
