As I'm also a huge Fallout fan, I was hyped for this... till I heard was online.
For me Fallout has always been great story and being able to immerse yourself in a world away from multiplayer games like COD, FIFA etc.
Having waited for a while to play this, tried the trial and my god this is boring.
Read this note, read that note. Quests that are buggy so won't let you finish them. Server crashes kicking you back to title screen.
    A sad shame.

Ignore all the haters it is a really good game. Especially if you play online with friends. Also 76 are adding 100 npc characters which will bring this back to the same standard as fallout 4

Bethesda will need to pay people soon to play this game

Same and good story plots but they are going downhill. Fallout and elder scrolls always has been about open world story single player game don't see the need to involve multilayer to start with

    Still £10 too expensive

Joking aside, for a tenner, an (A+++) game that has been out only 7 months is a good deal in my book.

Yet again, Bethesda releases a broken unfinished game and people just take it. And it's okay because it's Bethesda. Things they've given away for "free" now should've been in the game to begin with. Bethesda knew their game wasn't finished, full of bugs and will get low metacritic scores and rather than saying "looks, guys we're sorry. We know we screwed up, here's the stuff you paid full AAA price for". I wanted to buy the game and play it, but after Todd's entitled big headed opinion and jokes at E3, I pass. Don't @ me (edited)

Pretty much how most people feel, myself included.

This completely bombed and they have had flack from all angles, I think Bethesda know people are not going to just take it! I certainly didn't and I'm a massive fan of Fallout. Downloaded the trial but haven't even motivated myself to try it.

I think people took it for years before though and all the recent fightbacks from consumers has put the point across to all publishers that it will no longer be accepted. (edited)

    Give the trial a go.

It's not bad, better with friends though.
I'm not a fan of it being multiplayer though.

It is the full game for free, just for a limited time.

They added Nuclear Winter (a battle royale mode) in the update at the start of the trial, and the rumour is they could make that free to play permanently to attract players, which is exactly what Fortnite did because no one was buying the original version of that game.

It made me laugh when Todd pretty much admitted to knowingly releasing unfinished buggy game, so they could take in the feedback and make the game into the game we all want. Essentially, they released a beta which people bought for a full price to test it for them. This is what completely changed my mind about getting the game. Also, their pitch at E3 pretty much revolved around it like it was something new and something we should all be hyped for.
