It appears to be the same drill as the £49.99 deal but the impact driver has better specs and a Samsung battery.

Torque is the drills ability to turn against a resistance. So me drills when hitting some kind of resistance possibly a knot . A low torque drill will jam a higher torque drill will continue and drill. This is of course simplifying it.

So the extra £10 is worth it then really, not sure why they state 180m on this one but 50nm on the other deal - guess it is just a typo.

    Thanks for the explanation.

Just like to say that I purchased the impact driver last year and after normal use one of the batteries died out , had to send it off for warranty after 3 months and multiple emails they said can not repair or send out new battery as this line of batteries is discontinued please send back the full unit for a refund and then a month on I finally got my full refund, there after service is very bad to say the least , but I hope nobody gets stuck with a faulty product

Hot and brought! A bit confusing around the batteries but I believe the battery pack that comes with this is interchangeable with Aldi’s other tools.

It is confusing but I don't think they are. The current range of Ferrex tools are 20v and use "Activ Energy" batteries. This uses 18v samsung batteries and the specs state this tool is not Activ Energy compatible.

Same thing on the £49.99 deal but I would imagine the description is correct.

Based on the specs these appear to be a much better buy than the Worx set that went hot a few months ago. Shame I already bought that.
