FLASHBACK, the hit action-adventure game with over 2.2 million units sold, is back on Nintendo Switch!

After fleeing from a space ship but stripped of all memory, the eminent scientist Conrad B. Hart awakens on Titan, a colonised moon of the planet Saturn. His enemies and kidnappers are snapping at his heels. He must find a way back to Earth, defending himself against the dangers he encounters and unravelling an insidious extra-terrestrial plot that threatens the planet…

On its 25th anniversary, rediscover this classic, consistently ranked among the best 100 games of all time! It was one of the first games to use motion capture technology for more realistic animations, with backgrounds that were entirely hand-drawn and a gripping science-fiction storyline.

In addition to the original 1993 game, this version includes a Modern mode, with:

  • Post-FX graphic filters,
  • Completely remastered sound and music,
  • A brand new "Rewind" function, variable according to the level of difficulty
  • Tutorials for those who need a boost!

See if you're up to the challenge with all the demanding gameplay of the period!

Dive into an adventure game that has become a cult classic. With ground-breaking graphics and narrative for its time, Another World still offers a superb gaming experience in a deep and unique science-fiction universe. More than twenty-five years after its original release, Eric Chahi's masterpiece is still considered a classic adventure game and continues to inspire the biggest names in video games.

Another World tells the extraordinary story of scientist Lester Knight Chaykin, accidentally transported to another world while working on a particle accelerator. Lost on a strange planet, with no clue as to how to extricate himself, Lester must survive in a hostile environment, take on dangerous natives and solve puzzles that are as unique for the genre as they are creative. And it is there that he also learns the true meaning of friendship.

In a unique setting, help Lester survive and discover:

  • An extraordinary science-fiction universe
  • A gripping story and adventure
  • Remastered graphics and music
  • The possibility of choosing between the original graphics and modern HD graphics
  • 3 difficulty modes: Normal (easier than the original), Difficult (similar to the original) and Hardcore (more difficult than the original)

A pair of classics, and just in time for the upcoming Flashback 2.

These antiques should be 89p full stop.  Physical should be £5 max.

I mean it technically is less than under £5 per game here... but out of sheer interest, how would that business model work exactly?

    *The Techy Bits
    *Other development costs
    *Cartridge and its components
    *Packaging
    *Postage

I am no business or video game manufacturing expert myself, however I would think the only viability for £5 max would be you take a loss on the initial game sale, and hope for later profit via Add on content type thing. (edited)

''Flashback/Another World/Fade to Black'' were so memorable and fun to play, i feel the devs had as much fun creating them as we did playing each of these classics. Brings back so many good memories. I did in fact buy ''Flashback HD'' as i'm not much into pixelated, retro games, and the game still holds its own in 2023.
