That's what I would think looking at the message. However, I have made in game purchases on both of these accounts.

That would fit my experience - most of my games have been digital for a long time. I don't think I see these messages and codes mentioned on the video game forums I look at either, so they must just be trying to get people into the habit of looking at sales and buying on the console. No point doing that with people who are already doing it.

I buy anything that even remotely interests me that comes out.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they don’t give these things to people that make cross region purchases etc. I haven’t personally bought anything from the UK store in a long time.

I agree with you mate, no negativity really. Think some people get upset when you might seem negative to Xbox. I have been with Xbox live for 15 years and never received any free credit. Does it matter whether you prefer one console to another?!
I bought a Series S about a month back just to play gamepass games and haven't bought anything at all but still can't see anything about any credit.
