Might be useful for some people GAME have just launched an 'Elite' version of their reward program.

It's £33 for 12mths and they will refund the difference (in reward points) if you save less than that over the year.

Some of the benefits are:
10% Reward points back on game & accessory purchases
4% for consoles / pc / vr /phone /tablet
2% on trade-ins
Elite exclusive offers
"Birthday gift" (_;)
...and some other stuff

Hopefully useful to someone. Seems like a no-brainer if you use GAME a lot

Interesting idea, but I would need to buy a console and £200 quids worth of games just to get my money back in points. Not worth it compared to the average price difference when looking at cheaper online retailers. You'd probably save more money just shopping around.

The problem with the "you can’t lose" promise is they don't seem to be taking into account the points you would earn anyway with the free reward plan.

If you buy this, spent £300 on games, you get £30 points, so they then give you an extra £3.
But if you don't buy this and spend £300 on games, you get £6 in points...... And you didn't have to lend them £33 at 0% interest to get it.

You think they would have thrown in something like free next day delivery. Game is usually more than 10% more expensive that the next best deal if you shop around; so you won't save anything. At £50 a game you would need to buy 10 to get a free one.

Good deal for me. I spend over £500 a year buying from GAME. That saves me money for sure. Now to wait to get paid this month. Thanks mate didn't know anything about it till today.

In previous years this would have been just as beneficial for me, however I can't see me spending much on games at all let alone from GAME in future years

The birthday gift has me interested however X)

It's not a cold deal from me, one way or another you're getting your money back, but as already mentioned, next day delivery could have been a tipping point. Pretty much in a Prime for gamers way. Thanks for posting regardless mate, good to know

Are you being paid to say that? Have they sent you Gamestation's Fat Santa to you early this year? Blink twice if they have a cucumber pointed at your head.

Spend £300 to break even but if I don't manage to spend £300 I get given the points anyway so I can spend even more in game? How could I lose?

GAME do tend typically to have high prices, agree, but if you're selective in what you buy there are some great deals to be had.

The refund will never happen as they will give you a birthday gift that's absolute trash no doubt that they claim is worth £35 or something to get out of that. GAME are slimey that way. This is clever though as it makes you want to buy there even with the 10% they are still more expensive than literally everybody else. Amazon give you discount as being part of prime at least.

True, if it wasn't for the refund thing they're offering it wouldn't be too appealing. I guess if you trade in a lot of games and often shop at GAME already it might be beneficial

Cant say its worth it or a good deal, since GAME is overprice by more than 10% of the game. online store still ok with ocasional deal but in store price is a joke.

you buy the elite for 33
let's say spend 300 to get 30 back and 3 refunded
    or...
    don't buy the elite
spend 300 and get 6 back and your 6 pound better off

I normally buy a lot from them certain times of year. But I'm thinking the same now not for the same reason. Normally when a new feature is added it should come up some promotional offers. So I think GAME should start advertising it soon with some promo which may reduces the £33 to something less. Decision, decision...

Black Friday / Christmas is always good for GAME I just know I won't have the time to take advantage of it anymore.

However this is actually a promotional price. It's reduced from £36. It's not great but I can't see them dropping that in the near future unless it ends up being a massive failure

Haven't used game for years since they changed the amount of reward points you got, it used to be pretty damn good but now its hardly anything and their prices are too high to make it worth the hassle.

I have saved more money over the last few years by buying my games at better retailers.

spend the £300 elsewhere, and you're still £300 better off! or is that £330 better off? for not buying the damn membership in the first place?

Just had a look at this. Some of there ad hoc offers are worth 30, 40 or 50 quid right now. So if you happen to want one of those things its a no brainer.

There is just nothing i fancy in that list. I will have a look and see what they are offering next month. I know the price will have gone up by 3 quid but its all about the timing. :-)
