So the idea of this post is to highlight that Tredz have three discount codes running on their site.

£50 off £1000 Use code 50OFF
£150 off £2000 Use code 150OFF
£350 off £3500 Use code 350OFF

***Not valid on 2023 bikes***

To hit the magic £2000 I have added the specialized align 2 mips helmet and a water bottle which brings the total to £2000.99 and then after the discount code the total is £1850.99

If you already own a helmet and water bottle you can obviously add in different accessories.

The discount code can also be used on any other bike across the site apart from the 2023 models.

Considering you are getting £50 worth of accessories within this deal the total price of the bike is £1800, a £900 saving off the RRP of £2699.

Unfortunately it seems this voucher can't be used in combination with a cycle 2 work certificate.

Are these gravel bikes a bit of a marketing con, I recently saw a YouTube video of someone going down an uneven dirt track, his arms were literally acting as shock absorbers. Probably a step up from a normal road bike but they seem to be selling us a supposedly new concept when one already exists in the form of a hybrid bike.

I'm no expert but I think a hybrid bike frame is closer to a mountain bike, handle bars are flat, then they put slightly smoother tyres on. A gravel bike frame is a lot closer to a road bike, they have dropped handle bars and have slightly knobblier tyres. I'd imagine if you swapped the tyres on a gravel bike to standard road bike tyres it would be very similar, if you put standard road bike tyres on a hybrid bike it would be nothing like a road bike. It's good that both options exist for us consumers. I'd imagine the hybrid bike would be better suited for those wanting to do short commutes whereas the gravel bike could be better suited for those wanting to dip their toes into road bikes without having a fully fledged aero bike. Bought this bike recently and it's amazing. Puts my road bike to shame on the road and is so comfortable off road. The picks don't do the paint work justice.

Would love a gravel bike, and my giant 29er is amazing but think it’s worth holding out for both Di2 and a single 12 speed. I ride in some mucky areas and a front mech is more hassle than it’s worth. My current 11spd mtb almost has the correct range. Another cog would be perfect… this would almost feel like my road bike but with wider tyres, of which my sse can take 32mm

Maybe you tried using the code on a 2023 bike? Terms and conditions apply and it states 2023 bikes are excluded.

How do I use this offer with cycle to work? I can't see anywhere to enter a voucher on the quote form.

In the basket below the items in the basket and just above where you enter the voucher code.

Looks like a great bike on paper but regardless of the price I'd avoid this frame due to the seat tube cracking, Giant have acknowledged the fault and will replace cracked frames but I claim it's just paint cracks, however it's definitely not, just join the FB user group to see that.

I don't doubt it definitely was an issue, you can definitely see a few people have had problems online, but I can't imagine that Giant will want to continue replacing these frames forever. You'd like to hope that they have sorted the issue and the latest bikes won't have the same issue.

Personally I'd love a titanium frame gravel bike but they're just so expensive. Hoping prices drop soon.
