I dont like them and probably wont use them again. I got a bike that was on special offer ,through the cycle to work scheme on their website and they cashed the C2W voucher and then told me the bike was out of stock , I was offered a few quid off a different bike but it wasn't as good specs . I couldnt also of had my voucher back and would of had to re apply (which would of been too late as my employer only does it twice a year) . They still had the bike I attempted to buy (the oos one) on their website as avalible for over a month
I’ve used several times and had nothing but great service so would happily recommend. Not sure why cold either
Yeah new bikes is sooo January.
This is odd. Do people not like the retailer?
£10 off £100 / £40 off £400 Spend With voucher Code @ Tredz Bikes
Great deal, means you can get a Giant Contend for less than £400 plus Tredz throw in a lot of freebies too with each bike and maybe cashback from topcashback/quidco would track too. Great road bike that I believe is sub 10kg. https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Giant-Contend-2-2019-Road-Bike_200517.htm
Cos they want you to spend £400
not quite..... if your spending £350 it’s still only £10 off
£20 Voucher when you buy any Bike with Voucher Code @ Tredz Bikes
This explains a lot. Thanks for the insight (shock)
This should be freezing cold - it is not even £20 off but a voucher for something else.
Considering that they had 10% off bikes a couple of days ago this is absolutely rubbish. You would expect a minimumn 10% off a bike when buying it. Since Halfords bought out Tredz I have found their price discounts to be terrible and find myself visiting their shop - there is one local to me - and their site much less.
Looks like £20 to me
used to be 10% off on sale bikes, that voucher is nothing...

The rubber band that shields the USB port on this is a bit naff. The light is superb but the band is a flaw in my opinion. It only seals through contracting of the band and if it’s not 100% in line with the metal ridge then it’s not sealed. It just feels a bit of a gimmick considering how well built the rest of the light is. Reminds me of Apple’s ridiculous idea of placing a charging port on the bottom of mouse.
Thanks for posting. Your thread has been selected for our Highlights section (highfive)
I've been using a Lezyne Zecto rear light for years, mostly on very muddy MTB rides but also commuting, it's not missed a beat. https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Lezyne-Zecto-Max-Drive-250-USB-Rechargeable-Rear-Light_111999.htm?sku=417205&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google_shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQiAyoeCBhCTARIsAOfpKxhF4wGD6tEuHzSWic1A6hQL6UlnZr6aHIdgRfJQaXHSkR7iJ_E_agUaAmpEEALw_wcB Having said that I've just ordered one on of these traceRs as a backup light :D
My rear freehub has just failed on my beater bike. Cheaper than a mechanic, perfect timing. Thanka!
Thats going to get a bike back on the road cheaply somewhere
Looks like a fairly generic wheel as you would get on a decent entry level mountain bike, Carrera etc. Worth checking for a Tredz voucher as sometimes they are available. I had a quick look and it looks like you can get a £5 voucher for signing up to their newsletter not sure what the minimum purchase is though. Voted hot as looks decent for the money.
Thanks. Ordered. Replaced the bottle with an OnGuard lock cable to put through the front wheel.
Me too.I've seen a lot of bikes that look in very good condition and attractive to thieves being locked with cable locks.I've had a few conversations with the owners to recommend a stronger lock like the brute when I'm locking my bike and they are in the vicinity. They must be unaware that bike theft is rife
Check out lock picking lawyer on youtube video 793, he breaks his cutting tool on one of these locks, it looks like the 8001 model which was given the new higher sold secure diamond rating.
Good deal, I've two of these locks. They are heavy but far more secure than a cable lock. Make sure you lock your bike through the frame and rear wheel, I'm amazed at the number of bikes locked up with cable locks and through the quick release wheels.

Look into graphite powder for your locks it's much better and it's cheap to buy
I've got this lock,it's suppposed to be thick enough to withstand large bolt cutters.Always a good idea to lock high on the frame so thieves can't use the ground for leverage.Squirt a bit of oil in the lock now and again.I carry mine in my backpack as it's heavy.
Both are sold secure gold but the Brute is 2mm thicker so it'll takes slightly longer to cut through with an angle grinder. Both would probably resist attacks with bolt cutters. The Brute lock is slightly longer but also slightly thinner. The cable is good for securing accessories/quick release wheels. A cable can be bought for £5-10, so I would be tempted to get the Brute and a cable but it all depends on what you want a lock to do.
How does this compare to the OnGuard Pitbull DT Shackle U-Lock Plus Cable one on sale?

In case anyone is wondering what is special about cycling socks let me google that for you ;) Cyclists probably fuss over socks more than any single item of clothing. Are they over priced -generally. Is it just an expensive fashion thing - almost certainly like football shirts and handbags. Can you survive with poundland specials - most of the time. What is important about them at this time of year is that they are a reasonably priced no fail present for the cyclist with everything. And you get two for one with this deal!
Does anyone know what’s special about cycling socks over normal socks?

Got this jacket and hummvee shorts yesterday. Great quality and fit, delighted with them, thanks op. Picking up new gravel bike next week, santa came early 😁
I missed “jacket” out of the title so have amended , Definately a jacket rather than thin top , it’s got softshell sleeves and shoulders so that would tend to add to the price of a regular fleece , and as MarcusH states cycling tax, Decathlon or trespass I’m sure you could get a far cheaper equivalent but it may not function as well, Cycling gear tends to be longer at the back shorter front to allow for seated position and more aerodynamic aka less flappy than non cycle wear
CAT. (Cycling added tax)
Only S & M left now. Would have been tempted if there was still a L left - hood price
Are these thick like a sweater or more like a tshirt? I have quite a few 7-15£ ones and cant see why this are so expensive even with the discount

Who delivers for Tredz?

Next Day Service is not available for bikes as they are assembled and checked to order.
Click and Collect
Order online and collect your purchases at a Tredz store in Cardiff or Swansea. You will be notified when your order is ready for collection.
With certain bicycle brand exclusions, orders can be delivered to most European countries. Costs and delivery times vary according to the size and weight of the order and the destination country.
Although everything is inspected thoroughly before dispatch and bikes are checked over by qualified mechanics, Tredz realises that sometimes things are not quite right or as you expected. When this happens you have a very generous 365 days to return items to Tredz. Follow these steps if you wish to make a return:
Make sure any items are undamaged and in resaleable condition before packing them up securely in the original box and packaging.
Contact customer services on 01792 799508 to arrange a postal return (£35 for bicycles) or courier collection (£20 for larger items).
Alternatively, use the ASDA ToYou returns service for packages under 25kg (or 60 x 60 x 90 cm). Download a QR code from here and print off a label at your nearest ASDA when you drop off your parcel. A £3 charge will be deducted from your refund.
Collect Plus can also be used for items worth under £50 and weighing less than 10Kg. Buy a returns label for £2.99, attach it to your parcel and drop it off at your local convenience store.
