What’s the damage to your electrical bill if you use this every other day?

It's 1.5kw , which is half the power of my main Oven.

So if on for 30 minutes at current electic rate it will cost you 21p.

Not only is it cheaper to run , it normally takes approx half the time that it would in the Oven plus it takes 2 minutes to get to 200 degrees compared to 10 minutes in main oven, which again gives you a good saving and will pay for itself in time! (edited)

Loved mine, be sure to keep on top of cleaning it as overtime the basket at the bottom will start to peel and degrade overtime, as will the layer the food sits on.

Upgrade recently to a Ninja Foodi (for it's ceramic bowl) but for the money, these are great.

This is great info, I was hoping someone did a stainless steel basket, but ceramic is good too

These are great and would highly recommend using “air fryer liners” that you can purchase fm Amazon to save on the cleaning process also lengthens the life of the trays too 🏼

Had an air fryer for one year. Used the large oven 6-8 times to give you a fair idea. I am fully in with air fryers.

Wanting to get one - Air Fryer, just worried it might be too small for a Family of 4 (2 teens!)
    aLV426's avatar
    aLV426
Pretty sure you will struggle to feed 4 people in one go with this - of course no problem running it twice (or four times!). The reason why we abandoned our air fryer. Better to cook anything with pastry in this over a microwave, but if you have the choice to use a normal oven, then I would use the oven!
  9. mgk's avatar
    mgk
Mine came really quickly within 48hrs I think so must be luck of the draw

So far used it twice- decent results. I find the crisper tray seems poor quality and is a strange fit - maybe for a reason? This seems to be the weakest part of the machine.
Speed is impressive - probably half the time fr then on to cooked for stuff like chips and nuggets

The other tray doesnt seem very useful as it's feet are quite a distance from the edges so limits what you can have underneath.

Still a good buy but be grateful of any tips?

How different does the food taste compared to when it's cooked in a normal gas oven?

    The same, usually crispier though.

This is time it's a lot different considering the current high energy prices & the much lower costs involved with these comparted to using a standard cooker:

Had this a few weeks and its been used quite often. So quick and simple to use. It's ideal for 2-3 people max I'd say.

If anyone can recommend any additional racks/trays they've bought that allows them to stack food inside, that would be great. The wire rack isn't the best design and keeps slipping around inside.

Someone posted on another thread those mesh chip racks cut to size, can put them on top of the rack then

Guys stupid question but can I put aluminium foil in this air fryer
    boofuls1's avatar
    boofuls1
I put a piece of foil or grease proof on bottom to make cleaning easier. Do not let foil/paper touch the element in the top. It will catch fire. It’s blows a gale in there.
Popadoms smoked out my kitchen when that caught fire after lifting in the whirlwind. I managed to blow out the flames.

Hi, we received ours yesterday but the inside tray apart from being a little awkward when it 1st goes in just drops right to the bottom, am I wrong in thinking it can be positioned at differing levels? Is this normal? Tia
    boofuls1's avatar
    boofuls1
No different levels. You’ll get used to removing and fitting the bottom tray. Go at an angle it’s easier

Can anyone help answer why the whole of the UK has gotten into buying air fryers just this week?

Our local asda has had plenty in stock for a while now and within a day everything disappeared and online everything's out of stock too. Was there something in the news?

Had one of these for a couple of weeks and the results are impressive. Clean it with soapy water afterwards and it’s as good as new. Only criticism is that two crisper trays would be useful so you could cook different things stacked. Tried to buy an additional tray but not possible. Also Gouramia unhelpful with recommending a uk supplier for this.
