Apart of course from the Codemasters, Cities Skylines and Namco Bandai bundles over the past 4 weeks, yeah?
The Codemasters deal has been done before, I own all the games that where in that bundle, Cities has been free for monthly subscribers before too.
They locked a lot of monthly subscribers in last year with a Classic package for a year, only for the games to generally be added to a normal bundle 2/3 months later. It's been a big criticism of theirs.
It's great people are finding new games, but my point is they aren't special and unique like they used to be.
An example of the Codemasters bundle you referenced and previous bundles
- F1 2019 - March 2020 Humble Choice
- DiRT Rally 2.0 - January 2020 Humble Choice
(edited)I kind of figured you was referring to the fact it's poor to you because you own the games. I don't think that lessens the quality of the bundle.
The thing is ... this isn't about you. It's about how others feel. I dunno ... words on a forum don't usually change someone else's mind, but I would encourage you to at least consider why other people feel differently to you (different experiences?), and to try to emphasise with them where you can. If you don't care about a specific issue - well - clearly lots of other people do, so they must have a reason, right? And yeah, maybe you're not part of the "problem" because you treat everyone/thing the same ... but you can hopefully appreciate that not everyone is like you. So yeah.
It's not rude. I love computer games but they are also the worst for equality. As a black female my options are play are as a white man or a blue hedgehog... (It's obviously got better over the years but still a long way to go...)
You could play Uncharted Lost Legacy, or FFX-2 perhaps?
I, as a white man, also have to play as a white man or blue hedgehog. Neither of whom are me. I play games as an escape, not as some kind of parallel to my own life
...why? Mods need to delete spam comments that don't elaborate on a cold vote, especially in a comment section like this that is being heavily monitored.
Too many people voting cold because they already own some of the games, which is ludicrous.
That's an odd rule... Here's a better rule: add up the value of the games you don't have and want to play - if they're worth more than the bundle price, then pay it.
You wouldn't because you still feel represented and included. theguardian.com/tec…box
Because the mods are deleting comments that elaborate on it.
Exactly... it's like, my head could explode at how unrealistic and precise the demands of some people are. The thing that solves it all, is VR, because you're always in 1st person... so, for those who can't cope with a games character choice, then the solution is to play VR games, exclusively.
Mass effect was the first game I remember, with a black female avatar. In some games yes it's all about escape in other it's more about simulation (Sims!). I'd like to have the choice to choose my avatar when apprioriate. In VR games it's weird looking down at white hands... This explains it far better than me, but representation matters across all art forms. theguardian.com/tec…box
Jokes aside, some decent games in there
Yes, it's seperate keys.
Worth checking out barter.vg if you have games you are looking to trade for this. I’ll probably pick this up mostly for trading as not too interested in the games offered. Really spoiled by the itchio bundle, so a very hard act to follow I guess!
It was worth it for Celeste alone.
Nearly £350k now!
It really wasn't, though granted there were a number that aren't particularly great.
It won't be the "Classic" tier, so it will be at most nine selections.
Nope
It's only poor because you own a lot of these.
For someone who doesn't own do many, it's a fantastic deal/
Those still happen most weeks (there's one still ongoing), but for a long while Humble Bundle run much larger bundles such as this, with an accordingly higher price. The whole point is charity fundraising, after all!
I think the point is that people are voting cold because of the cause involved and mods are having to delete comments "elaborating" their views on that...
Voted hot and purchased, seems like excellent value if you aren't typically someone who buys these bundles. KSP, FM20, Jackbox Pack 4, NBA 2k20, plus Hellblade from the free monthly were all on my wishlist, and all proceeds to a charitable cause. Scorching for me.
