    There are already high capacity ssds that are bigger than HDDs. They just cost a lot.

    Samsung evo 870s 1tb were £50 on amazon 2 weeks ago. that's what I am after for a red resident evil 5 jtag to upgrade the 750gb hdd.saying that a 4tb might be better to bin the red wd ext hdd 2tb. thing of beauty.

    This is a SATA interface, Amazon.co.uk offer faster ones. You'll want an m.2 drive which uses the PCie interface, fot much faster speeds, making for a more rewarding experience. crucial.com/art…ata

    NVMe drives offer little to no benefit for gaming, though the higher sequential speeds are nice for large file transfers and may speed up game installs a little.
    That said, maybe their M.2 slots are already fill so they need to get SATA. (edited)
