    Great deal if you are on a tight budget & would rather spend the extra £100-200 you are saving here on your GPU.
    Also it should take 11th gen CPU's too.

    I'd pay the little bit extra and get the Ryzen 5 4500 and an A520 motherboard (e.g. Gigabyte A520 H) - these can be had for around £130 delivered at the moment. The extra cores and threads will make a difference both in gaming and productivity, and AM4 is a much better platform for upgrades also. Good comparison here:

    Yep, good call. Even squeeze up to a budget B550 if you can and you'll get Gen 4 ability when you have a supporting CPU, plus all the way up to the 5800X3D when you have money in future. IF you are a gamer, that is, of course! ;-p

    What do you use your PC for?

    In games the 10100F is going to be a fair upgrade, as it has double the amount of threads.

    You can try to find a good deal on eBay for an i5-9600 (or 9500, or 9400) and keep your current motherboard. Or invest a little bit more money and get something like an i3-12100 or Ryzen 5 5600.
