I have a similar metal gazebo at our home and I must say - these metal gazebo are amazing, low maintance and most useful. Also a bargain at this price.

Was initially looking at an aluminium roof, like the Costco ones, but the powder coated steel ones like on this one are meant to be just as long lasting and hard wearing and as you say it does seem a good price, for what it is

Looks the same as this one on offer from Wowcher? wowcher.co.uk/dea…tio?

Can't say if any better than this one, but that one is over 50kg lighter, than the one I posted, but that may be down to materials used.

Any suggestions around how to place it in the ground if there is no decking or slabs?

    Heat added.

This would make a good shrine and I'll think of something.

Seems to be marketed in USA under Sunjoy from what I can see, OOS at Amazon but reviews available as well as some constructed and 360 degree views of it.

Sorely tempted at this price, can't see it any cheaper in the States or over here, so seems genuine value, one to sleep on I think

We built ours looks lovely, it took 3 of us to get it done took close to 7-8 hours, did it in our time at a slow pace. Drill with 10mm bolt bit would be great I bought from Amazon for £4 and also bought drill extender for £4 made a difference while doing the roofing, roofing is the easiest to do, but make sure panel are aligned well. Frame to roof rods were the most difficult and felt it could have been done from base rather than building up and screwing it, but overall very very happy, nice and sturdy and has seen some wind already

That looks very nice and sturdy! There's only going to be 2 of us building ours with maybe some help from our 17 year old next year! Worrying as the instructions say to have 5 people but we will probably do it over a couple of days if it's a struggle! Thanks for tips on the tools and I've got a socket set that would work but I like the idea of using a drill and adapter!

Edit: Now you just need a HUKD deal for some garden furniture! (edited)

Can we Leave this out long term? Or do we have to put it away, and re build each year?
    sotv's avatar
    Author
If it's anchored, should be able to leave out all year (except side curtains) just got to watch weight of snow with these sort of things if you get a heavy fall
  12. dacdac's avatar
Do these need planning permission if put close to neighbours fence? At 10ft/ 3m I think that it might in some areas.
    Samuel2303's avatar
2m from fence would be a problem I think

I live near the sea where anything metal rusts within a few months. Would this last awhile ?

kind of answered your own question..

wouldn't it be noisy in the rain ?
needs repainting after few years ?
    Robdataff's avatar
Powder coat is generally very hardwaring. I'd be very quick to touch up any chips, or the rust will crawl under it.

If it's noisy on the rain, you could always glue felt on the roof. Should look tidy enough.

I’m tempted - but again the rain question. Is it noisy in the rain if I leave up?

I just gave up trying to order as I was going to order a metal 3X3 and a polyester 3X4 for my daughter. The site was just a random nightmare for me on so many browsers and devices. (edited)

I agree it took a while to get around it

I’d highly recommend spending a little bit more for one of the Sojag gazebos from Costco. These don’t age as well as the metal roof models

What do you think the roof is made out of, for these then?
  20. nick.abbott's avatar
Thanks very much OP. Girlfriend has been looking at one of these for the garden recently and this one seems like a great price considering you get the really flimsy ones with a fabric roof for not much less than this!

Now we need to decide what planters to buy so we can anchor it down to the patio!

If u get any ideas please share looking for same

Mine did to, but was on to lower pallet, for his pallet truck to fit under, so had to take it back to depot to put it on a suitable one to get it off the back of the lorry and tailgate and be able to redeliver tomorrow.

Surprised it was all able to be packed in one box.....
  22. sotv's avatar
    Author
Mine arrived today, on a redelivery, still couldn't get if off the lorry, to big for the tailgate. Needs to be an 18 tonner imho had to break it down also on the lorry and carry it through with the driver. Saves having to get rid of the pallets and boxes though, as driver took them back to the yard with him

Pretty sure it's this one as I expected and the instruction manual seems to comfirm a Sunjoy product sunjoyshop.com/pro…8f7

May help if you need to do some further research online or ask the manufacturer any questions

Gone up to £999 at Qubox, but OOS now (edited)
    nick.abbott's avatar
My guess is the pallet gets side loaded by a fork lift truck and then the poor driver is expected to use a pallet truck to get it off using the tailgate which is never going to work! If the price listed is correct and not over blown then £520 was an absolute bargain!

I've got a feeling we won't be putting ours up until next year so I hope there're no missing pieces!

Anyone built it yet? Going to attempt mine this weekend weather permitting, if so how long did it take and how difficult. Thanks
    nick.abbott's avatar
No sorry we've got ours in the garage ready to put up next year I think now! I hope all the pieces are here though!

Good luck and did you decide to use something to put the legs in to hold it down or are you anchoring it?

Just got in from putting it up, missing the 4 x L brackets which support the upper frame beams from underneath, frustratingly. Will see how I can get spares on Monday or fashion something otherwise.

75% built except some roof panels and capping, but the weight they would add, would have made it difficult to unscrew the K brackets and support it to add the L brackets, later.

Very solidly built, clear instructions, couple of scratches on legs, so will need to look for some paint to touch it up. Took 2 off us 3.5 hours to get to the stage we are about 60-90 minutes work left to finish roof and netting once the bracket situation is sorted.

Ratchet and drill make it a lot easier to screw together, you only need the supplied spanner then for a couple of corner fixings that the drill is to big to get at

The double curtain rail will be ideal for the netting and some string lights on the other rail to light it up inside.

Will look to screw and anchor it into the patio, once completed by drilling some holes as a good layer of concrete underneath the slabs. (edited)
    nick.abbott's avatar
Sorry to hear you're missing some parts and this is my worry as well! What page of the manual / parts list are the bits you're missing please as I'll go out and check what we've got.

Edit: and 3.5 hours is pretty good going. My Mrs is good at following instructions so I think we should be OK. I'm more of a "this looks like it goes here" type of person! (edited)
