Got four from one of the previous deals. Can't go wrong for a few quid, but they have some of the worst write speeds i've ever experienced on a USB. Questionable whether that even is USB 3.1.

If you put all four of them together, you'll immediately win.

You can pick up 2 x 64GB from the same page, sold and dispatched by Amazon for £5.99 – £2.99 each as an additional option. (edited)

    £5.99 for 2 is £2.99 each

I have a couple of these purely for backups of data.

Also, this is a bit cheaper at £2.78, but is probably a worse product: amazon.co.uk/Kin…HH/

    They'll be about the same.
Both slow, but not sure what people expect for the price, lol.

Browsing some of the Kingston flash drives on Amazon, they seem to have reviews along the lines of "slowest flash drive on the face of the planet". Bit of a minefield. Get what you pay for I suppose...

Judging by the 2 of these that I have, the noughties called and want their USB sticks back.

Typically, what's the fastest brand, or type, of USB sticks out there?

Not looking to spend the world, but what's generally decent?

I have a Patriot Supersonic Rage XT, and that's pretty quick it seems. (edited)

The write speed is very poor, but then its £2.99 so go for it.

Avoid these..Kingston either has bad QC or Amazon is being had by rebranded knock-offs. Got a data travler a couple of years back and wrote protected after a year. As fast as original USB sticks of yester-year with the same problems. Stick with a SSD or NVME and a USB caddy or 2 USB converter which will be faster and more reliable.

But they will cost a little more than £3, lol.

I've been using cheap Kingston USB sticks like this for the last few years, never had any problems with them (other than slow writes, of course).

Never mind about making a cup of tea while you're writing
to these, you could cook the whole Sunday lunch!
Ran Crystal Diskmark on it and got:
    Read - 88 MBs
    Write -19MBs
Makes me all nostalgic, it's like a floppy disk! (edited)

Perfectly fine for people that want to load it up with films/tv/music for on the go, or for people like me that use them for Windows installs.

Can't really grumble about the speeds with it's less than £3.
