With the football world going mad and attracting the lower classes to games, why not treat yourself to a reassuringly expensive Leeds United season ticket?*

Leeds United are proud to announce yet another price rise for the 2011-2012 season and are now able to boast not only the most expensive tickets in the Championship, but among the top 5 priced tickets in the whole of the UK.

With these funds the club promises to attract only the very best free signings from Preston, Derby and Ipswich.

Seats behind the goal can be had for just £612, just twice the divisional average and, for those who truly love their club, a view from the side of the pitch comes in at a suitably exclusive cost of £750 for both adults and children.

With just 15,000 seats unoccupied on average per game, a Leeds United season ticket is the only way to guarantee a seat for every match and each season ticket holder will also receive a generous free gift of a small plastic wallet.**

* working classes need not apply
** free plastic wallets subject to availability

Really entertaining, well written post. Why not try Rugby League instead, far more entertaining, no acting from the players, no crowd segregation, no racism, kids don't have to listen to foul and abusive language and only a couple of Bobbys present in case somebody parks on a double yellow

Rofl, the most expensive ST is just under 3 times the amount I pay for mine at Pride Park.
Still, Ken Bates has got to make some money somewhere.

    Great OP though

What do ye do? If we let our feet do the talking and stay away it could bring down the club. How can Bates justiffy this. We don't even have a lot of good class players and we do by some cheap rubbish who just don't cut it. Anyway MOT

Hmm, I may not have the detective powers of Inspector Morse, but I suspect this isn't a hot deal ;-)

Do I detect petulance that your club DIDN'T make it back first time after all ?
Live with it mate. Footballers are currently on 50 times more than what they're worth, they're paid so much they are using lawyers to block free speech, (and that costs hundreds of thousands. But they have money coming out their ears. The managers/coaches/hangers on - ex-footballers who have typical footballer low-IQ's can barely spell their own name, yet they're on THOUSANDS every week as they lurch from job to job.
Just what every football fan CAN'T do - most are struggling on low wages or no wages at ALL.
And guess who picks up the bill ?
Those who can least afford to
    It can't last.
Only a handful of clubs are winning trophies.
    the bubble's about to burst.

If that's what you detect, then you're not very perceptive. How is having a pop at at a season ticket price linked to being unhappy at not going up?

Still, why pass up an opportunity to vent your spleen, eh?

Shocking price, especially when you see what Blackburn are charging!
Entertaining post by OP, but this has to be cold.
