I advise spending the little extra on 2022 legion 5 at these prices... cheapest for now is at boxuk for £855 use code for extra 5% off box.co.uk/82R…box Much better display, processor etc, its a upgraded version of this model

there is also a offer on 2021 legion 5 pro atm for £900 witch is better built and has one of the best display panels on a laptop ebuyer.com/179…als

The 3060 is (in my experience) superb for 1080p high frames, but I also had a 1440p 165hz panel and it did struggle with the higher resolution at times.

Always above 60fps in fairness but it wasn't quite enough for my liking!

Only thing holding it back imo is 8gb of memory. Just booting these things to windows seems to leave you with 5gb left. Just having Firefox with a few tabs and basic extensions can use another 2gb. Many games will max that out right away and be held back and you'd have to have everything else closed.

Butttt I think these laptops make it easy to pop in another 8gb giving you 16gb total. And since it's only DDR4 that extra 8gb will probably only cost £30 and 30 mins of your time and then you'll have a pretty good gaming laptop for £840.

They do. I have the AMD cpu version of this and that's the first thing I did. There's also a slot for an extra m2

Yes it's a time machine comment, but over a year ago, Lenovo were selling this model for 729 delivered directly (I bought one). These should really be a bit cheaper than they are at the moment.

£729 + roughly 10% inflation is £801. Seems right to me. Of course new tech comes out and prices should fall but doesn't seem to be happening with laptops. PC components such as CPU, RAM and SSDs are dropping like a stone. (edited)

Good laptop, not keen on the processor. Decent find otherwise.
