can someone please tell me if this extension is ok to use with Michelin MPX22EHDS High Pressure Washer (2200 W, 160 Bar, 460 L/H) and also do i need to open the cable reel all the way or not?

Nominal UK mains voltage is 230v, the reel can handle 13 amps, 13 x 230 = 2,990 watts.
    It "should" work.
According to multiple sources a cable reel should always be unwound completely when in use to avoid overheating. This has a lot to do with the wire gauge and load.
With this in mind and in my opinion with such consumer and not commercial grade cable reels i.e. using thin wires and also near it's max power rating I would definitely unwind it all the way to allow maximum exposure to air for the entire cable and therefore maximum cooling.

Thanks for this. Looks about a 10 day wait bit cheaper than getting delivered via Wilko. (edited)

These are terrible to wind up - surprised there are not more comments on this. I have a couple of other reels which wind up brilliantly but this one is awful in that respect. Loops fall off the side and jam too. The rest of the product is OK but I’d never buy another.

    Same experience here.

I bought it on Amazon at that price a week ago.
It's neat, compact, the guide works, and it looks great in the garden. (edited)

Bought this recently from Toolstation for the RRP. A very good product, well built, and will last a very long time
  7. L33TL33's avatar
I got the cheaper plastic version to this for only a few quid less. It does the job but is quite flimsy. I would’ve bought this one at this price

This is good value. Just remember to totally unwind the cable if you are using it to
Power high wattage electrical items. Or it will trip out or melt completely!

Good price. Paid £29.99 in May 2022. With inflation this is a great deal for a very good extension. Heat

Never saw anywhere to input discount code, despite trying on different browsers and using different payment methods. Now basically oos everywhere
  18. atifprince's avatar
No code either. When I click the link to the site or even when I start shopping, no code

Just had mine cancelled in Manchester despite there being stock
    Reytak's avatar
I had one of mine cancelled too, no reasoning why in the email, called them and they said it was due to no physical stock despite the stock quantity indicator online actually having gone up since when I placed the first order.
I then ordered again from another Wilko about 2 miles away from the first and proceeded to pick one up after the other.

Where do you get the code? Had the welcome to the family email for subcribing but no code.
  21. Mohammed_Adnan's avatar
    Thank you. Just ordered.
  22. getsemail's avatar
Just had mine cancelled. In the email it's apparently because I didn't go in to collect it.

Hate it when companies do this. Just means I don't spend money with them in future.
    Lexeus's avatar
Usually because the staff want it for them selves (maybe in store customer?) and need to cancel the reservation first. I hate shops that even have this option available to staff

    Oos near me

Not a bad price at all. Looks to be 3KW rated. Amazingly, also in stock near me!
  25. w0z's avatar
    OOS for me but...
Don't forget 1.7% TCB and I can't see a code, where does it appear?
  26. veedubjai's avatar
    Airtime Rewards 4.5% in-store/online.
  27. cbflazaro's avatar
Remember if you want to use 3000w on this, you need to fully unwind it. Otherwise it will melt.
    MrFizzy's avatar
I would certainly recommend unwinding it but don’t forget that it has a safety thermal cutout to guard against this kind of thing. Just picked mine up and it seems pretty well made. I especially like the high vis cable colour.
  28. Bob_Morgan's avatar
These are good if you frequently need the full 25m but can be a bit of a pain if only using the partial length as they are sometimes hard to wind up.
  29. Yorkshirelad1979's avatar
Also just had my order cancelled, despite there being 2 in stock in local store when I ordered
  30. Sammy8921's avatar
Back in stock, just ordered for collection Manchester. Thanks OP

This one is really good. Releasing and folding is easy. There are no issues with it. Used for over a year now like every week.
