So the real deal is the Groupon voucher offer which is already on another HUKD listing. Disappointing to see & are been so negative here. As well as them been top comments and liked by others so other members that are in agreement.

I think was the first and only member to post a specific deal from Adidas using this code combination on here.

They have found a very popular model of trainers that is available in a nice colour full run of sizes for a fantastic price.

It has rightly gained a lot of heat which is deserved.

It also means others are now aware of how to combine the two offers and create savings of their own.

You say these are full price so not a deal. But I doubt these will available cheaper than this elsewhere in future on sale. The deal is that the 30% off code actually work on Ultraboost and the Groupon offer is running at the same time.

I think we should be thanking for taking the time to share this.

They aren't staff or paid for their time but continue to share lots of great deals on here with the community.

The site hasn't been flooded with other deals that you perhaps concerned about using the same combination but if there was more deals you can simply scroll past and leave the deals for people who are interested.

What you don't realise is when you comment negativity all the time it puts other members off posting deals, there's been a big drop in contributions recently especially in fashion with lots of deals not getting shared on here and so members miss out.

I'd hazard a guess the reason we don't see as many deals because people can't be bothered with the negativity when they've taken the time to share.

Sadly lots of familiar usernames sadly no longer post on here.

Ultraboost deals in general are particularly popular, and this has no doubt helped a bunch of people. As long as you bought a half size up they'll loosen off through time. Depends how long you take to break them in though.

If you apply these in the right order you get £2 gift balance remaining. Apply the promotional gift cards first, then the 2 normal gift cards. The promotional part of the gift card expires on 30th June 2022.

"PROMOTIONAL GIFT CARD expires 30 Jun 2022 at 11:59 p.m."

"If your transaction is for less than the value of the promotional gift card, you will not receive the balance in any form."

They've confirmed my fears - you shouldn't use this deal with the intention to buy 2 sizes and return the worse-fitting pair, as many of us often do when buying gear online. You would simply forfeit the value of your gift card first as this is first subtracted from your refund amount. This also applies to anybody simply wanting to return their order, of course, regardless of the reason. My chat with Groupon:Me: What does it mean "the value of the redeemed promotional gift card applied to the original purchase will be deducted from the refund amount."Me: It sounds like the value of the gift card would be deducted from my refund amountMe: So if I had a £50 refund from a £200 order, and my gift card was £50, then it would deduct from my refund and leave me with £0 refund. Is that correct?Karthikeyan L R: Yes, you are correct.

I was refunded back onto a gift card last week by adidas. I’d paid £79 using multiple gift cards and 20p on my credit card. They refunded £79 to a new gift card with a 3 year expiry then the 20p back to my credit card.

Actually it includes the voucher codes 30% off combined with the groupon codes! Not everyone might know or think to combine the two. I highlighted these trainers as they are extremely popular but expensive. So I was trying to be helpful and show members a way of reducing the price to a great deal

Sounds like you're actually agreeing with them? They seem to be suggesting that because you spent £70 to buy the gift card, this deal on the site should show a price of £70 and not £68, because the remainder is £2 in gift cards which is less useful.

Perhaps it's be more accurate to say "Men’s Adidas Ultraboost 4.0 DNA trainers + £2 gift card £70 using codes below free delivery @ Adidas" or just saying it is £70 instead of £68. It is kinda pedantic for only the £2 difference, but I tend to agree with them. The price should show the total spent on the gift cards (£70) rather than the total spent on the gift cards + remainder of balance on gift cards.

From my understanding, there was a rule saying that the price shown should be total amount (inc delivery, exc [guaranteed or potential] cashback, exc vouchers that are sent after orders). In my eyes the remaining £2 is more similar to a voucher sent after, for example like this deal: hotukdeals.com/dea…457

You get a £30 voucher (albeit at a different website to the original merchant) but it would be misleading to include that in the price.

For this deal, it's kinda the same but in a more long-winded way, you pay £70 and get £2 back for future purchases with that merchant. That £2 back should not be considered a discount on the order of that single product itself. (edited)

Well said and thank you. It far too easy for people to sit behind a computer and a username and pass judgement. When let’s be honest most of the people who makes these comments generally don’t contribute towards deals on the site themselves but are quite happy to judge other who take the time and effort to do so. I think you are absolutely correct that the negativity some people show towards deals puts members off posting. Which in itself is a huge shame as HUKD’s should be a safe, positive and Non judgemental environment. It is easy enough to scroll past a deal that is not for you, I do it myself many times and feel no need to comment. I think the heat and popularity or this deal speaks for itself. Personally I’m used to negative people on here so it doesn’t stop me posting what I want to post. 99% of people on here are lovely it’s that 1% who either are trolls, looking to complain or just trying to get a quick laugh out of people. But thank you very much for posting this it’s nice to know good people still exist

Understand people being a little pedantic about the deal, but if it helps people get cheaper things it's very much the spirit of HDUK.
