Explore the alien environments and eerie isolation of planet Tallon IV
Journey through the diverse biomes of planet Tallon IV as you uncover the Space Pirates’ sinister experiments and gather information about the toxic substance that left the planet in ruin. Blast forward to your next objective or take time to stop and scan your surroundings and delve into the creatures and culture of Tallon IV. From the quiet stillness of the snowy Phendrana Drifts to the magma geysers of Magmoor Caverns, this alien planet introduces beautifully harsh landscapes and labyrinths.

Upgrade your arsenal to take on extraterrestrial terrors
Use Samus’ Arm Cannon and go head-to-head against otherworldly creatures, bolstered Space Pirates, and the energy-sapping Metroids. Backtrack through areas and pay close attention to your environment to solve puzzles and get more upgrades. They sometimes do. Message them on chat and see what you can get

Good price, what I paid pre-order. However as a first time player it didn't do it for me, way too much backtracking, save point's for were frustrating and didn't know what I was supposed to be doing most of the time. Sold on already.

It's chalk and cheese. What you hate about it is what metroidvania fans love about it!

Is this a cartridge or code in a box?

Cartridge, there is no code in box version (or in any Nintendo published UK game) (edited)

    Is this actually "rare"?

It was in US and still.might be. Not same issues in UK afaik...Nintendo have a tendency to incite fear in their legion of loyal customers which seems counter intuiative

Is this still a good game if you have no nostalgia for or never played the original? Ive seen alot of people comment they love it but it seems to be part great game part nostalgia. (edited)

Yes it's a very good game IMO. I've gamed for a long time but missed the Gamecube and it's classics and knew nothing about the Prime series.
It looks and feels great. Sound design is awesome. I would say if the game looks appealing to you after watching some reviews then you won't be disappointed.

Is it over hyped? Maybe but not by much. I'd say the Metacritic of 94/8.8 isn't far of the mark.

The remaster is incredible, reaffirms Metroid Prime as one of the greatest games of all time & brings it to a whole new generation of gamers. (edited)

For some reason I thought this was the Prime trilogy like the Wii version! Oh well I'll stick to playing the Wii version, more bang for buck!

The visuals are miles better than the Wii version, they are completely redone. Game is the same otherwise. (edited)

Great find! Seems like everything that's released these days goes the way of the scalpers, so it's really nice to see this being restocked at decent prices
    AnkerMan's avatar
Your seeing it from the wrong perspective. Scalpers get blamed for the companies own incompetence so resellers are handy boogeyman. Any time you limit sale of production for popular items that are backed by manipulative PR campaigns, you end up with these situations. Blame someone, blame the company.

Finished it a couple days ago. Honestly was better than I remembered. I somehow didn't completely vibe with it back in the day, but this time I did.

Good deal, I paid £35 on launch.. didn't think it'd drop in price, then again my local GAME store told me only 1 person reserved a copy (edited)

Does anyone find the game quite dark? Dark as in I couldn’t see parts of the game.

Bought this, played it for a couple of hours. Hated it and sold it on

How’s this compare to Dread? Enjoyed Dread but nothing amazing. Actually preferred the last 3rd of the game when you had all the powers but that part was over too quick.

Price has dropped to £27 today. Lowest price I’ve seen
