these are rubbish, the tolerances aren’t good enough imo. plus as it’s plastic the blade can wear the edges of the guides away and you’re left with a useless bit of junk very fast.

I've got one, it's not great. The cutting gaps are wide so you have to press the saw blade against one side. The sides do wear, largely because of the first problem, but not as fast as you'd think, I'm still on my first one. The bottom wears since you cut directly into it of course, but that's much less of a problem.

By far worst thing about it is it that it's difficult to fix in place, I have that Keter workbench everybody loves and you can just about get one clamp on awkwardly but it still has to be held in place with one hand and even then not easily. I actually cracked the plastic trying to stop it moving about.

For £2 and very occasional jobs it's fine, but even a casual DIYer will go nuts trying to use it properly.

who in their right minds designs a plastic guide mitre to be used with metal blades,..isn't it going to cut it away eventually or atleast distort the shape of guides rendering it useless..

Had great fun trying to sort skirting boards with one of these. Went though so much wood filler.
