    Just buy the normal Mutti, a little sugar, salt and oregano is all it needs for pizza

    How does this sauce compare to the finely chopped tomatoes? Is the consistency thicker

    It's not thick as such but the consistency is more uniform. With finely chopped I still find its' more a case of lumps and watery bits. I've been using it for a while for Neapolitan style pizza cooked in a pizza oven and find it nice and easy to work with as well as tasty.

    This is on offer in Waitrose at the moment for, I think £1.70. For those that want to try before getting six of them. I tried it yesterday and though quick and easy I personally prefer making my own with tinned whole tomatoes. This tastes a little bit too processed and a bit thin in consistency. Good enough but think there is better.

    For my taste at least, this sauce lacks seasoning. After trying on the Ooni as it came, the second time I added salt, pepper, onion/garlic powder, and it was much improved.

    Better to just make yourself with some Mutti tomatoes, I'm not really sure with 0.05% herbs and 0.03% onion you're going to be tasting anything but the tomato, needs more herbs, some olive oil and sugar with optional crushed garlic to be perfect sauce

    Thanks for sharing. This stuff is great! I don't have prime but had the £5 off a £25 offer so just ordered 24 tins and it came in at £25.58 delivered along with the subscribe and save discount. Very happy with that.

    As some Italian once said, "the best tinned tomatoes are the whole ones. The scabbier ones become chopped tomatoes."
    I'd hate to see how scabby the tomatoes are that make the sauce.
