Do note that you CANNOT currently buy third-party pods and therefore are 'locked' into buying the pods direct from Nespresso.

SOME exist from Starbucks but it's believed that these are also produced by Nespresso.

If you're wanting to use cheaper pods, either buy the older Nespresso whereby the patent expired, a Tassimo or Dolce Gusto machine.

I think with this machine this offer 5o claim 50 free pods (worth about £25) should work too

Good deal but do not let Nespresso fool you with their new gen coffee makers. They use barcodes to certify coffee pods which are genuine and also pricey. Like HP printers. Cheap printers, expensive cartridges. Instead, look out for older pod versions.

Yes. I struggle for few months Do I need to upgrade my Nespresso machine. I can buy The new capsule Amazon or Nespresso online only . Is very very expensive compare with old pods
Barcode means there will not be other brand compatible pod produce anymore? Is only detect the official pod ? (edited)

I was a big proponent of Nespresso, in fact I've made many a comment on here about how good I think they are, and in some respects I still that that is true, if you're a light coffee drinker but want something that tastes good and is convenient I think their coffee is excellent, but here's some maths to consider.

Over the last twelve months we have made 15 orders, in total 1500 pods of coffee. This equates to 4.1 cups a day, which is about right, my wife has two, I have two, and occasionally when we're especially tired, we have and extra. How much has this cost us for one year?

    £930!!!

That is 62p per cup on average. So, given that we love coffee but cannot justify spending that much, we made the decision to buy a bean to cup machine for £530. Something I would never have considered before now, but when I looked at the per cup cost, it works out around 10-15p per cup, so I will actually spend less in the first year despite buying such an expensive machine, after that I will be saving significantly. Already I've noticed a quality improvement over nespresso too, coffee is just better and I can make some fancy milky ones too, not that I'm big into those.

So my advice is this, do the maths, it might make more sense to do what we have done than buy into nespresso (the vertuo machine at least). (edited)

Nice deal! Am wondering if there is a machine that can take multiple different pod types like nespresso, dolce gusto etc., however only found one chinese 4in1 machine that doesn't give a lot of trust.
