Forward Facing Camera

The Nextbase 320XR Rear Camera Bundle is the ideal solution for all-round protection on the roads in full HD quality. The 320XR front cam captures every detail of the road ahead in 1080p full HD at 30fps, with the aid of a 140° wide viewing angle. It utilises the latest 2.5” screen with IPS technology for easy menu selection and playback. The 320XR uses the exclusive Click&Go PRO mount with integrated neodymium magnetic power connectors for easy installation and removal using just one hand.

The 320XR Rear Window Camera connects to your front facing dash cam via a supplied 6.5m cable. It fits directly to your rear window via an easy to install self-adhesive pad. The magnetic, adjustable fixture means that its suitable for angled windows in cars or more vertical van windows. The Rear Window Camera records in full 1080p HD with a wide 140° viewing angle to guard against everything from hit and run impacts to knocks and bumps in a car park.

I never go out without a dashcam I catch people doing stupid stuff multiple times daily it's only a matter of time before some I need the footage against some idiot. Standard if driving has really gone down over past 20 years or so

    Is this any goood ?

They have a good image but the software is awful. Ours also wants the SD card formatted all the time. Parking mode pretty much only catches you leaving the car and fills the SD card up with rubbish. I would turn it off.

I have a nextbase front and back installed. My tip is to turn off gps speed tracking and the microphone. Just in case….

I remember there's a fool that decided to just stop in front of me at full speed (he tried to claim injury) and I sent the footage... It didn't end well for him.

I had bought a dash cam years back (8 years ago) and everyone said I wasting my money on it. Well a few weeks later after installing the dash cam, someone reversed into me and damaged my front bumper and hood. Tried blaming me, saying I drove into him. I just laughed at his face and said ‘mate your on cctv’, he started looking around the street to see if there’s any cameras around. I said ‘come here I’ll show you’ and pointed at the dash cam. His jaw dropped, started sweating and his mate just shut up and went back into the car. I picked up my bumper and put in my car. Exchanged details and said my solicitors will be dealing with this. And drove off home. Had full repair done. And claim for whiplash. All in all, a £50 well spent! Now every car I have, the first thing I do is install a dash cam!

My son had a Nextcam front camera, after being rear side swiped on a bend at a junction and spinning 180 degrees in the road and ending up in a ditch he decided to buy a rear camera as well. Accidents do happen, and evidence helps with your Insurance claim and his front camera footage helped his claim being settled .

With all dash cams, try to format the sd card every month as it does help with the usual technical glitches. (edited)

Anyone recommend a higher spec nextbase bundle like this? Where image quality is much clearer.

fitting is not hard. plenty of youtube vids hardest part is getting the right fuse. and even that is on the web

Good price but reviews (e.g. this) say image quality fairly poor. Everything else is great, but what's the point if you can't make out a numberplate. Why is dashcam footage generally still so poor when GoPro, DJI etc have been producing amazing output for years?!

I have an older version in my car which was the same sort of review. I have never had a problem and has capured the numberplate of the car that hit me. even low light it is great. you may find that people say this due to some cars having a lot of uv filteration in the windscreens?

Happened to me on Saturday in central Manchester. My 522W that had cost an arm and leg was stolen. Autoglass charged £75 for a new window. Gutted, but the robbers at least didn't drag the rear camera luckily... So there was no damage to roof, I can only imagine the stress if it had set off roof airbags 🙆🏾‍♂️

If you already have a dash cam why not pop one on the back window?. Got fed up with tailgaters, so installed one camera on the back window. And voila, they do think twice and back off as soon as they see the camera and realise their dangerous driving is being recorded.

Went for the 522GW with fitting. It came with a free wiring kit, unsure if that's the deal, because I'm paying for fitting, but with voucher 237. Been after one for ages so glad to get one eventually (edited)

Recently bought refurbished 422gw front and rear from ebay nextbase shop (139), also had a discount code for 21 pounds - ended up with 118 for the whole - i couldn't see any scratches or anything . Nextbase installation costs more than halfords
    Laksmu's avatar
Also beware of interference to DAB reception if it is fitted on top of rear window. Get a ferrite core and loop the cable near the rear camera

About 10 years ago, I bought a cheap dashcam for around £18.00. It does 1080p and 780p. Even in 780p number plates are very clear. I would not pay over £20.00 for a dashcam. If I wanted front and back I would just put another in the back window.
  16. sangheili08's avatar
I've looked all sorts of forums and videos and reviews. There is no dash cam on earth which will satisfy my need a real good quality one, not cheap, there is none, the only deal I missed was the which cost over 300£ down to 160 I think, can't remember the brand, that's the only one I may thing would be close to acceptable...

That's the one kenwood, I believe they are the only good on the market (edited)

I've got a nextbase 522gw and have to disagree with every bad review I've read about it

Avoid Nextbase just because the app is awful, when you need a video it’s such a hassle. Especially if you have two cameras set up to one phone!

just put the one camera on 1 phone. i have never had a problem

Which hard wire kit to buy with this?
Thank you. Going to attempt fitting this
    bumblingbee's avatar
add the wiring kit for £25 and it the £25 is deducted at checkout. halfords.com/tec…tml
  19. bumblingbee's avatar
Ordered thanks. The hardwire kit is free if you add to basket it then removes the £25 at checkout. The 10% off also applies to the fitting fee of £70. Total £179.10 for dashcams, wiring kit and fitting.

Doesn’t discount for me at checkout. Any advice please?
