Had a look around and this seems to be the cheapest price at the moment PLUS you get £3.15 worth of points back.

Kids played on a friends one at the weekend, I went in very sceptical but they had great fun playing with it, so really tempted now!

If I order it online and it comes in a cardboard box...is that considered dlc?

I think this looks cool. Just like the other set. People complain that they dont think they are getting value for money. I remember paying £90 for DJ Hero on 360. About 10 years ago now, Now that was overpriced. This looks interesting. Typical nintendo game, allowing children and adults to use their imagination. I dont know how this could be a negative thing?

If you're looking to try Labo, I'd strongly recommend getting the Variety Kit. It's cheaper than this one but has so much more....well.....variety. This one is overpriced for what it is. I ordered both but returned this one without opening as I instantly felt buyers remorse. I probably would have returned the variety kit too but I managed to get that one for £39.99 with discounts.

Most people say it's a lot of money for cardboard, but it's actually pretty impressive stuff, what with the sensors and how everything works. Building it is a key part of the fun of it too. My son and I have enjoyed putting the piano, motorbike, fishing and RC 'car' kits together, we just have the house one left to build.

The 'secret' programming section looks pretty good too, but I doubt I'll personally get anywhere with that. I'm not creative enough!

Also strongly disagree with the negative vibes about the variety kit, as any new game nowadays costs over £40 and then you'll pay extra for dlc. This set has huge amounts of replayability and if you've got the know how and the patience, the 'toy-con garage' is unlimited (if you have enough quality cardboard knocking around to build your creations). As with the majority of nintendo games, they are 'mini games' in a sense, the ones you'll play a couple of times then hide them away but keep coming back to and forgetting how good it was (like me with Mario kart).
I guess Labo was always going to divide the room, highly recommended if you have kids, spending the time together bringing the creations to life then seeing exactly how they work. Not the kind of thing you'd go out and buy if you wanted just a 'game to play'.

    “But it’s cardboard”

i agree with you the amount people have paid for plastic bits of tat that accompany very limited games - this is a steal. (edited)

You can just download the software and recycle some cardboard boxes and do it yourself. saving £60+

As others have said, the Labo Variety Kit is worth every penny for the sheer amount of enjoyment and exploration you get from what is in the box and on the cartridge.

The robot pack I feel deserves every bit of negativity it gets as it really does just one thing and that apparently gets boring very quickly. It’s a shame Nintendo made two such contrasting packs that give very different examples of value (one having lots and the other having very little).

I can agree with the comments about the variety box my son has spent hours building the house and piano and he's loved it those who say its just cardboard are wrong the tech is really clever.the only problem I have is can I get more stickers as he put the wrong ones on?

Who needs VR, look at all this premium cardboard. Is just like back in ye ole day when Light Guns were the latest things for the 8-bit consoles, who was interested in that? What we all wanted was some cardboard peripherals. At last it has finally happened!

Nintendo are selling replacement stuff in America, not sure about here. Could always email them and ask nicely for replacement stickers, they might send some out for free
