Why would you even remotely think of buying from Curry's, most awful customer services known to man and dire delivery packaging to boot.
There is an enhanced version of the Switch coming out. This hits a different sweet spot to be honest. It is much more comfortable to hold and genuinely portable. I own both versions and play this more.
All rumours at the moment but next year is likely.
The lite gets the improved 1080 HD screen and processor and graphics boost and new wifi.
Both are compatible with the existing Switch games. (edited)
It is just right around the corner they have been saytng since the launch of the Switch......so at some point in the next 20 years they my be right. lol
I think now that the new consoles are out, and nVidia had a job listing here is a really good indicator of a new Switch coming with DLSS 2.0 which would be a major game changer to an ever decreasingly weak device such as the Switch. Only nVidia work with Nintendo in the console market afaik with their Tegra chips.
I hope so anyway because Father Christmas is forgetting to get a Switch for my daughter this year (he is bringing a cheap Chinese tablet though).
Not officially yet, but there has been a lot of speculation that next year being the 35th anniversary of the Legend Of Zelda will see a 3D All-Stars esque Zelda compilation (edited)

To be honest I think the Lite and the Pro are aimed at two different markets.
A full hybrid Switch is genuinely portable also.

If you are unsure you are probably better getting the standard version that you can hook up to a TV.
The new Switch Pro is all just speculation at the moment but faster processor and 4k support are rumoured. But it is almost certainly to be more expensive which will put it between £350 and £400.
If you only ever intend to play handheld and are happy with the slight downgrade in terms of the screen then the Lite plays 95% of the catalogue and is much more comfortable to hold.
Personally I played the original Switch more in Handheld because if I got a turn on the TV I usually would play the PS4.
