You can choose USB 2.0 or 3.0 on the Amazon page. That said there are some really bad reviews - some mention that their hard drives were damaged.

Ordered one yesterday, arrived this morning but not detachingdive when connected, I tried 3 X 3.5 drives with power lead and one 2.5 withoutout power lead none showed up on my computer.
I also thought the connector to the drive was very flimsy and not level withthe drive when inserted.

This identical version works on Windows 11 and but instead of USB-C it uses a centre pin + 12v power supply for Hard Drives. I thought I had seen it before so I grabbed it out of the drawer with an old HD and plugged it in.

There's a customer review, anyone know about it.. I don't want to damage my hard drive for the sake of a little discount.
"On the manufacturer's website (and also on Amazon's) it is indicated that it uses a JMS578 (excellent Chip) while in reality it uses a Norelsys NS1066X (low quality chip). This chip is blacklisted in Linux, so it is not recommended to use it with this operating system."

I've just pulled mine apart (broke all the clips ) and it has the JMS578 inside. My one is identical to the one listed here (except it uses a 12v power supply) so if you want to take a chance that they are still using that chip (I bought mine last April) it's still available for £9: amazon.co.uk/gp/…P39

Use the code to make half price. It's still more than when this deal was posted, yet a lot less than that price you're seeing.
