    Just to be clear: the warranty doesn’t cover the battery.

    They are not bad tools, mind you, but I think it’s important to make that point clear.

    Batteries are consumable items in most goods. They must still be of merchantable quality and are normally covered under standard guarantee periods as required by law, but not extended warranty periods. (edited)
