sorted byStill got Octopath to start from all the hype lol had it day one its still sealed lol
think that was why the wiiu bombed so hard, the consoles doing that well i sold off my ps4 as i now play my switch more
That may be true but the 1st one alone is 15.99 on PSN. Not exactly cheap on another console. People just focus on switch prices coz library is smaller but prices aren't always as bad as PS n XBox
Apples and pears......
Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my Switch, I'm a huge indie game fan & Switch is currently like Steam in terms of dozens of quality indie titles which are perfect for handheld.....I'm.literally killing dozens of hours on it. Then you get the big Nintendo titles to compliment all the indie stuff, it's pretty much the perfect console. I just think their prices for digital are a bit heavy.....although the fact global stores are open using Revolut takes the sting out of it a bit!
But this is a physical release. Android/IOS would be a digital release. No sell on value, no ability to loan to family or friends, and of course, no ability to play on one of, if not the most innovative consoles ever. So it's not the same and unfair to do a direct comparison on price. You obviously have the option to not buy it.
The good old 'HUKD time machine'. 1 & 2 are showing as £9.99 each for me so £32.99 for all 3 seems about right to me, considering the benefits of owning on the switch.
And they'll be on sale on the switch at some point too, but as we stand, here today, the Switch price is pretty comparable to IOS, and the Switch version is a better product. You'd have at least a £10 sell on value, so some might argue the Switch version is actually better value for money.
Bigger screen? I dock my switch to a 55 inch 4k Samsung. How big is your ipad? You've knocked the deal based on price, even though it is very similar to the ios price, which you quoted as being much cheaper. Considering that the ios version has no associated manufacturing or shipping costs, I don't think that it's unreasonable to suggest that your comparison is unreasonable. Like you say, we're all entitled to our opinions.
Proper overrated I think. It gets a pass because of its great art style but the gameplay is frustrating & cumbersome
Didn't realise that.
No purchase then.
In my experience if it doesn’t appeal, don’t bother. I’ve lost count of the number of games I’ve bought just because they rate highly but I don’t enjoy (edited)
Haha appreciate the insight but I imagine we have very different tastes!
Good advice not to just buy because of the hype though
It's not though is it.....not from development stand point
Yes and I obviously also have the right to an opinion.....you don't have to like it or agree with it but there it is. I couldn't care if it's a physical release or not - £35.99 is too much in my opinion.
Shadow of Collosus was £22. Dark Souls - £24 etc etc
Also, I've played 1&2 on my iPad Air and I seriously doubt they play better on Switch.
:/ Just checked. I have the first one on Google play but the second one is asking a tenner... So £32 is about right. (edited)
I paid 4.99 on iOS...
Not a time machine is it these titles have been available for ages, they'll be on sale again no doubt.... they're overrated as hell anyway compared with some of their peers.
Getting the impression you'd argue an Apple is an Orange........
Also, please explain how it is a 'better product' - I would argue the IOS version is better. Bigger screen, higher resolution......
You can beam iOS onto 55 inch TV .....there is no differentiation between IOS & Switch - if developers made a bit of effort is add voiceovers - extra content etc then I would think worth the money.
Look at Divinity Original Sin 2 - now that is how you port properly, amazing work from the development team, which BTW is very small.
I've lost a LOT of games on iOS due to this.
That never happens on Nintendo, Sony or MS consoles.
That is true actually.....I've lost loads of quality games, very irritating
I was so hyped for an age of empires styled game,;from playing it on the ds in 05/06. But I purchased this game and regretted it.
Looks good but I can't recommend it.
