Master the basics of quantum physics in a simple way without feeling overwhelmed by complex math!

Do you want to know the principles that govern everything around you?

Have you always been curious about quantum physics and its mysteries but you don’t know where to begin?

You have found the right place, your journey to learn quantum physics starts now!

Award-winner scientist, Carl J. Pratt, presents the most exhaustive and clear introduction to the topic. “Quantum Physics for Beginners” peels away layers of mystery to reveal what is behind most modern technological innovations.

In this book you will find:

  • What quantum physics is, the history and most famous experiments and achievements in quantum mechanics.
  • Wave-particle duality dilemma.
  • How particles can be in multiple places at once.
  • Heisenberg uncertainty principle.
  • Schrodinger’s equation.
  • Quantum entanglement
  • Quantum fields theory.
  • Introduction to string theory.
  • Quantum gravity.
  • Real-world applications: Quantum computing, Quantum key distribution, ultra-precise clocks...
And much more!

Even if this is the first time that you are hearing these terms don't be discouraged by these big words. This book is written specifically for people approaching this topic for the first time.

Professor Pratt will take you by the hand on a two-century journey to discover the principles that govern the universe.

Complex maths! I'm ok with not understanding the maths but having to read 'American' is a step too far!

Not sure why this book includes String Theory. Its been 40 years or so and the hypothesis is far from being demonstrated to be much more than just that in all that time. In a book that's about the fundamentals it doesn't belong here.

I love this subject, read many books on it. For those of you who don't enjoy reading about it I very much recommend PBS Spacetime YouTube channel....

    Here's a sample...

The problem is that we are working our way through best guesses for the most part.

    Also love PBS spacetime!

What makes quantum physics a theory in the scientific definition of the word is that it is well backed by experimental data, is such a good predictive tool and is well understood enough to have brought in the technological revolution the species is going through. The last 50-60 years humanity has progressed so much thanks to our understanding of the quantum. Before these times you could take a human out of his or her time and place them elsewhere within the previous 500 years or so and they wouldn't feel too out of place. Now its almost one generation and already people are stumped with how to understand modern life.

Its a lot more than just best guesses, but I understand your point 😁
