Absolutely loved playing Goldeneye on 00 again earlier this year. I'm so glad they changed the controls to be modern - made a great game even better.

The gameplay also seems very much ahead of its time when I think about other older shooters I've tried to play recently. I remember really liking Red Faction, but it was such a bummer to go back to it and see my shots just go through people, without a hit triggering. Experienced the same in the original Far Cry, which I played for all of 15 minutes and hated. Goldeneye hits feel so real, picking off an arm, a leg, or perhaps even the classic shot between the buttocks to make the soldier jump.

Just a shame they didn’t release the HD version of Goldeneye that was officially scrapped before release many years ago, then leaked online in the last couple of years too.

It's a good price and I am tempted, although honestly I'm not sure there's much in this collection I would play aside from Perfect Dark.

Banjo Kazooie is still as good as it gets for that type of game. I had Snake Rattle & Roll as a young kid, and I'd say that it's one of the best NES games. Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, obviously great. I had one of the Viva Pinatas as well - was fun and a bit different.
