I used to work for Richardsons as far as I am aware they are now manufactured in the far east and finished (handles put on sharpened etc in Sheffield ) you won’t find the words made in Sheffield anywhere on the knives these days Richardsons Sheffield is just a trade mark.Richardsons is now owned by a Dutch company It doesn’t mean these knives aren’t any good I’m just trying to clarify a modern day misconception. I have this as part of a set, had them maybe a year, I stick them in the dishwasher, use them to open plastic food wrappers and all the things you're meant to avoid but these are still going strong. I really like these santoku shaped ones too, the wide blade is really good for sliding over your finger knuckles safely and allowing you to chop quickly, also handy for helping to pick stuff up.

My set came with a larger and smaller one, I like both, I think this must be the smaller one...12.5cm is not the size they wield in horror movies, but fine for chopping veg etc

A really useful knife. Bought two of these when last on offer, one for home, one for camping. They are more of a utility knife size.

I have just asked my wife.
    She said she prefers 10"-12"
And that you need to hold them in your hand to see if they feel ok
Not sure how long they keep the sharp edge either? (edited)

I've got a decent chef's knife. What do these scalloped blades offer over just having what I've got? I've got room on my knife rack for some extra knives.
