I use an RWG sim in my backup phone, no problems so far. I paid a one off fee of £15 which gives the same 100 mins 100sms and 750mb data ongoing every month, also the £15 stays on the phone as credit. It would make a good sim for IOT devices etc... RWG piggyback on EE so signal is usually good too.

I ordered one of these Sims about 3 weeks ago but didn't receive it. Customer Services then sent out a replacement and I haven't even received that. Has anybody else had any delivery issues

NOTE: EU roaming not included on FREE, £2 or £3.50 plans

Which country does the EU roaming come under? also does it include any other outsiders, such as Japan or any of the Arab states ?

I wonder who they use, what is service like. My father barely uses much of his phone, maybe I’d say 300 mins max a month

They resell NOWmobile which in turn uses EE. All perfectly ok - takes a little getting your head around the initial SIM card activation, but other than that it all works fine without any issues.

So can the £10 credit be used to fund the £2 a month cost?

Yes, you can convert whatever credit, month by month, to a bundle of your choice by getting in touch with RWG Customer Services.

3.50 per month seems better for unlimited calls and texts with more data.

You are right. You can pick any plan of your choice with free £10.

I've just got one of these SIMs for a backup phone. Having seen the problems with some deliveries, I ordered the free one and then subscribed to £2/month plan when it arrived 2 days later. No problems so far and EE signal is best where I live. Web site is pretty basic - doesn't look as if there is any access to historical usage data for instance.

The deactivation policy looks much better than for many contractless/PAYG SIMs: if you don't make a call or send an SMS for 90 days, functionality becomes limited to incoming calls/texts until you contact customer services but it isn't liable to be finally deactivated until 6 months of no chargeable usage and even then, they say they give you 30 days notice in writing before deactivation.

Might get you out of a pinch when your non-EE main SIM has no reception and you need to get something out of your email or log on to an app tho.

I intend to use the RWG free SIM for this purpose.

So is this correct - someone with the free £15 sim could subscribe to one of the deals (£2 or £3.50 for one month) - get £10 free credit so essentially be up £8 or £6.50 and then stop the subscribed plan when the first month is up - and revert back to the £15 free deal? Is it worth doing just for the free cash?

Hey, brilliant thinking. Answers please ASAP. It clearly states on RWG deal page "Existing customers will have this bundle added to their account". Seems to be worth trying for £8. (edited)

I have a sky sim that gets 100mb for £2 a month that I use for calls/giving out numbers I don’t want to use main number for. This is perfect as will actually be usable. Ty op + bonus points as EE

Got the same sky mobile sim for my wife, but it £0 a month for 74 years!! They said it life and in my case since wife is coming to 45 "cough" I mean 21, I think +74 is our lifetime.. maybe her's cause as soon as she see this message my life might be over....

Are the min's/text and data free within the UK or only with Ireland only

It's a Welsh virtual network, and it's free in UK just fine. It uses the "Now" network in Wales, which to you and me is EE. Have no issue with them at all.

Use it in my secondary phone and not had any issues with them, I think 4G speed is capped to something like 60Mbit/s but it's unlikely anyone on the lower data tiers will be doing anything that would cause that to become a problem (You'd run out of data pretty quickly if you were)

I'd rather pay the extra £1 for the lifetime deal with pretty much the same amount of data/mins.

How much is roaming in say South Africa?, Barbados and the EU?
You can roam anywhere on this sim so don’t give the usual roaming not included crap. Included means you can roam and not included means you can’t roam at all. I’m talking about the cost amd not whether you can roam or not.

Roaming charges seem very ambiguous on these cheap/free plans
    iceburnmarko's avatar
    iceburnmarko
It not ambiguous it says on plans over £3.5 a month "EU roaming" is included. And upto I think 20GB

Still no price for roaming in South Africa, Barbados or the EU on this plan? I didn’t ask for the plan over £3.50. Do people realise this plan is for £2?  (edited)

I bought the 24 month deal for £35 last week and my number was ported over the next day. I have had issues with mobile data not available intermittently. I emailed RWG and was told issue with BT? Anyone else having the same problem?
