Someone the other day posted the LycaMobile 6 months 5 pence 4gb data and unlimited they are on O2 network. I have got 3 off them so for 6 months I basically have a free mobile on 3 of my devices.

Cheers for that. I'm a fairly light data user and I'm sure 4gb will cover me. Why wouldn't you at that price

One thing I do like about the cheaper RWG plans is that if you can't be bothered to keep porting your number, then with a dual sim phone you can always keep the RWG one as your main phone number, and then use the second sim slot to keep grabbing special offers on sim only plans with decent data.

Well, if that is the plan then why not port the number to Giffgaff (will requires a top up/credit ) and keep it as PAYG and use it just once in a while and use these special offers for rest of the time. (edited)

Using their 24 month package. Everything OK. 2gb enough for waze and occasional WhatsApp. Whats really bothering is lack of WiFi calling. And o2 which rwg are piggybacking isn't good regarding cell reception

Apologies, apparently they use ee ... (edited)

No wonder you're getting bad coverage if you're RWG sim is running on the o2 network, when everyone else's is EE

I've Just gone with RWG on the £35 2 year deal for my young son. Excellent coverage with EE and no problems porting number across. I'd recommend them.

never heard of these guys before....thought would have seen deals on here as 2 quid a month is great when you dont need to worrry about messing with intro offers

Iv been with them for nearly 2 years. No problems. I was lucky enough to get the £2 bundle free for life with a one off £15 top up. Plus the £15 stopped as credit on phone as well

I personally think the unlimited mins and text and 2GB data for £3.50 per month is a much better deal
  7. FIREAT40's avatar
I hope it doesn't go bust in 2 years!
    whok1844's avatar
Pay with credit card or PayPal, if they go bust claim it on your card

Awful company. I signed up and it took a week to get the SIM (which was a SIM re-badged from a previous provider). Three weeks later they still hadn't transferred my phone number. I contacted them and cancelled the transfer and SIM in the end.

I've had no issues and I've been with them 2 years.

    Do they offer Wi-Fi calling?

    Nope

Add +10 pounds if you want to use your allowance in roaming.

So I purchased one of their SIMs, and I can see for a not so savvy consumer, this provider could be an issue, everything is very clunky or user unfriendly. I bought a 5GB deal for a low data user in my family and the instructions were wrong and I could not activate the SIM, no one was picking up the phone and no one replied on e-mail. After some Googling, all I had to do was text a short code and everything came to life. I've had some success getting someone on Facebook Messenger, but the app (well 3rd party app) doesn't work on my Android mobile and I can only track balance of bundles with short codes.

Negatives aside, the EE network is superior the coverage and speed (your mileage my vary) but for my family's usage case it's great and speeds have been consistent in their area, just be aware the clumsiness and lack of customer service may be a shock to the system. I'm also aware they don't have access to all the of EE Bands and may throttle (but for me that's not an issue) so if it's too much of a pain I'll take a look at 1p mobile.

Only if they offered esim. it would be perfect for me

Please approach this company and deal with extreme caution. I wish that I have looked at the recent reviews on Trustpilot before taking the plunge and buying from these cowboys. Took 3 days for a number port to complete and left me unreachable on my original number for all that time. Also made the mistake of purchasing one of their data only SIMs which remains inactivated after a week now despite multiple emails, support requests and messaging them on their facebook page. Just try and phone their support line and listen to the message stating that their agents are unavailable all the time and you will know what I am talking about here. I will give them to the beginning of next week to see if they will activate my SIM before reporting the issue to my card issuer and cancelling my accounts. (edited)

Im surprised at this. Been with them a while now. They have always replied at support@rwgmobile.com within the hour when iv had questions

No-one available to speak to all day today.

They suggest to email for a response.

never heard of em! Nice find, I've placed an order to test it out. Thanks for the heads up.

Just got my PAC from EE and will probably join these on their £5 deal
    whok1844's avatar
If you problem porting online give a call, sometimes, as both are EE, system won't accept porting.
  18. Wheresmylaptop's avatar
Great price, but I believe that you don't get the full EE coverage for data. I'm sure I read that one of the bands that EE used is not available through RWG. (edited)

LOL, you are talking about 750 MB on this plan! but your point may still stand.

Switched from EE no issues so far, they’re app is a bit primitive but small company so no surprise. Brill for the price.
    Peter674235's avatar
    RWG have an app?

    Now with 5G, they say
  21. huntk1's avatar
I've been waiting 10 days for my number to port in. Absolutely ridiculous.
No one replies to emails and no one answers the support telephone number.
    Avoid like the plague (edited)

Please keep us updated on this. I got the £15 forever deal a few months ago and email support was very quick. I'd want to know if they have turned bad.

Looked really good until I read comment saying no WiFi calling.
    Deal breaker.
    KodaBear's avatar
No WiFi calling. No 4G calling. And not just that but it’s a cut back version of their 4G coverage too meaning you actually have less coverage than you would with an EE SIM Too.

The only EE based networks that have full EE signal and WiFi calling support is CMLink, 1p Mobile and Popit.
  23. djbenny's avatar
do they go up with RPI?
  24. Lifeistest's avatar
    Do they credit check?
    KodaBear's avatar
No they’re a pay as you go network with monthly bundles. No contract. No credit check.

Back in October last year, this was £15 one-off for the same package. Back then I was hoping for a slightly more expensive one-off fee and more data.

Should've jumped on that deal, bummer.

Thanks for this, the £20 deal will spring an old phone into life again. I've ordered a sim.

Also 250 mins 250 text 2gb data for 1 year for one off charge of £20.
Talkhome have just launched 250 mins and texts and 1GB data for £15 if you don’t need so much data and they have an app too! (edited)

And love to try and fleece their new customers by trying to sneak in a 12 month minimum term on their own contracts after a "tweak" to their t&c's! If you spotted it and declined, they cancelled the 3 month promo you signed up for, leaving you with just the one month. (insert expletives of choice)

Thanks to the HUGE backlash they had no choice but to back down and remove it and honour the original offers.
  28. Anon32's avatar
Yes i’m well aware of that it was very sneaky indeed. Not sure why they done it it tbh. It should have been blindly obvious it wasn’t going to work. Surely it could only be new customers only anyways. But they have listened and now have a rep here who can answer questions. This is a yearly offer so the 12 months never made any difference to this deal.
    Jim1_Smith's avatar
Yeah, a ridiculous stunt to pull - no way I'll touch them for the foreseeable future after that.
