Went back to my amazon orders to see how much I paid for this last time (~6 mths ago). Price seemed high (£29) but then I noticed a promotions part at the end of order summary. Frustratingly, I can't see any split of this discount - it's for around 50% of the total order "value", but with multiple items in the order it's meaningless.

Anyone know how to check the individual item cost after promotions (ie what the item would have appeared as in my basket at the time!) in a multi item order like this?!? I've tried downloading the invoices but same issue.

It was £17.99 back in Nov, varying around £23-£28 before that (initially high release prices aside).

I can't imagine it was cheaper than this so I don't think there's an issue with it being a genuine deal.

Are these any good for a dash cam?
    N_Bb65's avatar
    No.

These aren't intended for the intensive writes a dashcam requires and this is even stated by Samsung in the description and voids the warranty.

You're best off looking at the Samsung Pro Endurance, made specifically for read intensive operations such as dashcam, comes with a lengthy warranty and a 5 year limited data guarantee in which Samsung will attempt to recover the data if it becomes corrupted.

They're a bit more costs wise, but that little bit extra for the peace of mind and buying g the right thing is worth it IMO.

Got a couple of these 256s for my [Windows 11] Steam Deck, no complaints. Obviously noticeably slower than an SSD but nothing too bad. Going to pick up the 512gb (decent at £33) and pack all my favourite ROMs for Wii-U, Wii, PS1, PS2, as well as all the oldies; Amiga, Sega Master system, MS Dos, SNES etc running through Retroarch, & finally create a handheld emulation setup I've wanted for years.

Does it get cheaper than this for the 256gb ? Or 128?

Guess this is the best price they get on Amazon with prime ?
    amour3k's avatar
"Does it get cheaper than this for the 256gb".

Rarely - though the last handful of 256GB memory card's I bought last Year, were more than this per 1.

But timing is definitely 'key', as/when it does.

    As for 128?

    it's been a while since I bought a 128GB memory card, so couldn't say.

    Again, timing is key ...
