How would this be for gaming on the PS5? Looking for a 4K TV to upgrade my current one?

I use my 50" for gaming mostly. It's good.
It doesn't have the latest tech for 120hz at 4K but it's a decent screen for gaming. No complaints from me.
Edit- I'm on it now gaming funnily enough.

What picture settings are people using? I've tried putting HDR on but I'm struggling to get it to a point in happy with.

HDR is pretty weak on this telly I found.

I have the 50 inch version of this TV.. it's not the brightest, it's basic but better than the £299 TVs. I paid £379,99, and it's for the kitchen so not bothered. I have a 65" QD-OLED in the living room worth £1800. But I would feel sorry for those who get this as there main daily living room TV.

I have discovered the hard way that it is not up to replacing my 15 year old samsung 40" for our living room.

I've just purchased the 55" a few days ago and the TV is so far excellent

The built in sound is not as bad as people keep saying? Either way the sound makes no difference to me because we have the sound through our amp and speaker setup.

Is this a decent sub £500 option in the 50-55” range? Will be connected to a Sonos beam so sound not an issue. No gaming and will use a firestick for most of the time. Just want a basic TV with a decent enough picture.

    A review might help.
    Have considered this myself.
Little stock to view in Currys etc..but the 8500 bu is from the reading I've done is comparable picture wise( +/-) (edited)

8500 UI is infuriatingly laggy, HDR does the best part of naff all. Other than that its fine

    20Hz gaming-monitor performance.

Says the above but the description says 60hz when clicking on the link. I will have a google around shortly.

It's a 60hz TV that can emulate 120hz at 1080p. Not true 120hz but very good with auto game mode that kicks in when my PS4 and Xbox come on.

I've got the 43 inch version, got it last year for £265 and can't complain.

For the money the 9000 range cannot be beaten.

Only downside is the sound but it's definitely tolerable and like a lot of others I've added a soundbar to it. (edited)

Anyone know, how long does Costco delivery takes?

Not long at all, I get the 3ltr Jack Daniels from Costco, and it usually arrives within a couple of days 🏻

Would this be worth going for, or would a cheaper option be better.

Had an email today from Costco (5 days after ordering) stating they apologise I haven’t had updates about delivery and they are working on it. No sign of any delivery date. Is this the usual Costco experience?

Yesterday I received an apology message from the delivery partner stating my delivery is still being planned.
Today, I’ve been given a delivery slot for Wednesday.

    Purchased thanks OP.
Is anyone using this TV with a firestick 4K. Have you had success at frame rate matching?
Really struggling to get consistent smooth playback (picture stutters/judders).
The firestick does not recognise that this TV supports 24Hz so a lot of Netflix movies are horrible.
I have heard reports of this working correctly on other setups.
    gizzardgiblet's avatar
    gizzardgiblet
To answer my own question. Firestick is partly to blame as I've had it confirmed that it will not to 24p without hidden hack.
Still too many niggles for me so going to have to spend more cash I think. Hopefully LG C2 price drop coming soon.
