    It took me a minute to find the big hand. Why do they make watches hard to read?

    So often I look at a watch design and think how nice it looks until you either think about the practicality of it or actually buy it and find out the hard way. If you can't glance at it quickly and see the time, it has failed in its sole purpose.

    My thoughts exactly. I'm more likely to want to know the time, than navigate my way down the road by compass while measuring the lap speed of competing cyclists.
