3D NAND Technology for Enhanced Reliability and Power Efficiency
Applying the advanced 3D NAND flash, Ace A55 features higher reliability and better power efficiency than traditional SSDs equipped with 2D NAND flash. The A55 offers improved endurance and longer battery life that you're able to work longer without frequently recharge your laptop.

High Transfer Speeds for Fast Start Up
Powered by high quality controller and original synchronous NAND flash, the A55 delivers incredibly high transfer speeds that enable short boot time, fast application loading and quick file processing.

SLC Cache Technology for Performance Boost and Longer Lifespan
The A55 especially applies the ”SLC Cache technology” that allows all data to be written in the SLC portion first and leads to higher peak writing performance. In addition, the technology can reduce write amplification and thus offer better endurance and longer lifespan of the SSD

Absolutely Reliable with Bad Block Management
The A55 is built with Bad Block Management, which can continually monitor and replace bad blocks to keep your system in good condition with prolonged lifespan of a SSD.

Multiple Techniques Supported
The A55 is one of the lightest and thinnest SSD of its kind yet it is shock- and vibration-proof since it contains no moving parts. Furthermore, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring system and ECC technology are equipped to promise higher data transmission safety..

Beware this brand, they had a very high failure rate at my work.

    Every budget SSD does

Many of the hot SSD deals on the budget end are made from the cheapest nand available, 95% work with very low DOA rate but after a few months they start to drop like flies with a large enough sample size (compared to more premium SSDs, as a percentage failure rate is still pretty low)

Using this on my legacy PS4. Works like a charm. Got it for £48. Worth this price. Heat

Hot, so why are 4TBs not £120 already and why not 8TBs £240 already.... (edited)

I think it’s because with these lower capacity ones, they still have room on the board to just stick simple flash storage chips on them to bring it up to the desired capacity, but once you start going larger, you have to layer up the storage inside the chips which costs more to do, and then you’re also paying a bit more for a cache which most higher capacity drives, better storage controllers to achieve higher read/write speeds, add on brand tax plus any additional warranties the manufacturers will push them with, that’s probably where the additional costs come from

Utter trash, i have the 512 gig model i bought on 22 May 2023, and it died this week, was not even the main drive, but it is dead as a DoDo now, paid £20, first SSD i have owned that has done this.

    It's trash because yours failed?

I guess all WD SN850's are trash because mine failed.
In fact, all drives are trash because every single make/model on the planet has had failures...

    Could I use this in a PS3?
    vibribbon's avatar
Yes you can, but you won't notice much difference if any on the ps3.

Cracking price, have installed a few of these and never had any complaints about them.

This or fanxiang S101 for £1 more?
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
Both are fine, no difference between them really.
May as well save the £1 and get this. (edited)

Did you try it? Thinking of doing the same.
