These cheap kits are fine for a quick and easy run. But this is a big kit and you’ll likely spend considerable time running the pipe work and fitting the connectors/irrigation ends.

Learn from my mistake and invest in something better like the Hozelock (or similar) micro irrigation kits.

I ran one of these cheap kits for a living wall installation. My fingers were shot to pieces afterwords and worse still it’s a PITA to get even water distribution from them (and we have extremely high mains water pressure). Moreover, every year a couple of bits have failed and I’ve had to pull bits apart to fix it (connectors weaken and break and bits of pipe split).

Subsequently got a Hozelock kit on sale in the winter for £25 and the extra was well worth the time/hassle saved, let alone the fact I could actually control each dropper properly. (edited)

Bought a couple of these cheap kits, the rubber tube has "melted" and becomes sticky. The water never really reaches the end of the tube, so pretty useless.

Will have a look at Hozeloc or the Gardena ones. Thanks

For anyone interested in this, the same kit, under the "Jardin" name, is in my local Home Bargains for £3.99, so maybe worth a look?

I've been using this type of kit for a number of years - as above, it's a pain to set up but works fine for me. I am planning on replacing it with a Porous Soaker Hose as it's easier to utilise/ adjust and remove

FYW - Micro Irrigation is not subject to hosepipe bans

These good for 'loft' gardening with UV lights?

I thought this was a micro irritation kit.

...I was just about to say it's possibly the wrong colour or it it's a few millimetres shorter than advertised.

    Grrrr
