I'm after some glasses - any more information ?
I cringe everytime I see these comments, hotukdeals is full of these boring repetitive comments all the time..."never heard of them...get a Sony" etc etc, perhaps was funny the first 100 or so times...
Anywho, early morning grumpy rant over if your buying a brand new car this seems a lot of car for the money, personally I think I'll get something a couple of years old with low miles. Looking at a z4 for the missis I think
Light in boot - whoo-hoo, than god for that
Parcel shelf - I should bloody think so
High level brake light - show me a car that hasn't?
Rear disc brakes - ditto
Rear fog lights - legal requirement?
Rear window wiper - it's a hatchback, haven't they all
Drivers seat belt warning light - Oh come on now
Why don't they add;
Seats - at least 4
Dry Paint
Rubber Tyres

£18K for a polo, hitler must be turning in his grave
blah blah.. Dangle flange sprocket deflugal grunt. I'd say 99% of you talk the talk and the other 3% of us can't even count.
I've not long since bought the wife a skoda monte carlo... Its brilliant.
those slagging off skoda why the **** did you click on the deal if you had no interest in it?
its like me clicking on a buy 1 get 1 free testical removal deal... I'd rather not pop into my local branch of knackers B-gone because I know what the offer is and it doesn't appeal. So for that reason I'll keep the dangley spheres in their velvetty pouch and pop next door to greggs (or the skoda garage).
Great deal for an excellent car with an award winning engine.
The only embarrassment here is you making the same old comment on every single Skoda thread.
Why not leave the comments to people who have something constructive to say about the deal.....
To that end this is a HOT price compared to the RRP for a brand new Fabia vRS.
Skoda were rubbish in the 70's/80's but that was then, this is a sweet deal for a desirable looking car.
No i don't drive one but i would if it was what i needed,......hot from me.
There's a bit more to it that the badge on the front. The skoda is fantastic, but the quality of the finish in the polo is superior.
I am not sure shopping in Waitrose over Asda, buying an iPhone over an Android etc makes you a loser.
Fabia is a great car though.
A13 drives an Audi - do you expect anything other than trolling. He finds it embarrassing but clicked on this deal?!
I picked mine up 2 months ago and covered just over 2k in miles, its economical on duals etc getting roughly 45 at 80mph. I live up a big hill so at present its averaging around 31mpg which is pretty good and means lorrys, slow moving pensioners are no longer a problem!
Only niggle i have is the seats will not drop in height only backwards and forwards so im quite concious of my head near the roof and im only 5'10.
It is worth the money, the inside is well build but is plastic and nothing has come loose yet. DSG flappy paddles are ok but dont really use them other than changing up to drop the revs. Sport mode is great, had a run with a friend who has a BMW 530d M Sport and up to a 100 the Skoda was less than a bonet length off .
Just thought id drop in my 2p's worth
The 0% APR & 0% VAT deal finishes at the end of this month. Got mine just under a fortnight ago - its a terrific car, my 3rd VRS now. Don't care about what badge it has on the front. Considering I grew up in the 80s when the Skoda jokes were common place, well my choice of car says it all now
Sigh!
(or for those that have more sense than money?!)
I don't get your point, I said they are known to be a lot higher than 180 as standard, and added a snippet about re-maps for people interested.
Regarding people who whine about the badge .... I'm genuinely surprised some people still have such outdated views. It only serves to show how little you know about modern cars. It's personal preference I guess, but if having four rings on the bonnet means that much to you then by all means go ahead and pay the extra £5k-£6k. For me the badge means nothing and it really is the badge that is the only major difference.
Oh and yes, I now own a Skoda. Had many cars over the years, some prestige marques, some not. I too set out looking for an Audi ..... only after I test drove a fair few and did all the research, even spoke to friend who's a VW mastertech mechanic, everything pointed to getting a Skoda. Very glad I did too.

It's over 10 years since they thought they could make as good a car as a Skoda for the same price.
I am finding it hard to follow what you are arguing. 'in actual fact compared to the VW and Audi, the Skoda devalues it.' that is why this Skoda is sold for substantially less money than the VW and Audi. You have also confirmed that from a technical point of view they are the same cars with different cosmetics, which to my mind makes them even more of a bargain.
I think people are using the exact same arguments on both sides but drawing completely different conclusions. Technically this is a great car and the price is excellent, I really could not care how 'cool' other people think it is or isn't.
I think you are just straining to say you don't really like the looks of it, I don't think that is a reason not to get one.
You mean what people may think of you because you drive car A instead of B ?
Actually most people don't give a damn about which car you drive, most people in the country, say around 60 million of them, don't care if you are dead or alive, let alone which mass-produced tin box you happen to be picking your nose in at the lights.
If you're happy to spend £13k on an UGLY MUTTLEY, then good on you.
I'm not the one on here saying it is the same car as the VW nor the Audi. Somehow the Skoda fanatics pick up on that it has some lineage with those platforms and convince themselves it's the same car. It isn't the same car, de-badge it, it won' t be the same car and it will remain pig ugly all it's life.
You can convince yourself all your life that you got a bargain but that would be little solace.
You won't see the VW or the Audi remotely discounted to this extent.
It's a Skoda, get over it.

at the end of the day they dont want a cheaper car sounding better do they, then only the badge snobs would buy an audi
i guess theres only one way to find out, as Harry Hill would say......................FIGHT
so any A1 drivers out there, if you think your hard enough then bring it on
oh i forgot to add LOL
I'm interested what he has now as well! Come on, answer the direct question/s!
Isnt that called dogging?
He'll be in bed by now, it's a school night!
I think there are several remap routes for the vRS... the most popular being Shark performance and Revo.. no issues that I have heard of.. power varies between 205-220PS .. more importantly there are serious (relatively) midrange gains to be had (_;)

Yeah, that Superb is truly awful isn't it?

Bargain at this price.

The Polo GTi is more desireable but if money is tight then the Fabia vRS gives you more bang for your buck but you will lose the image & resale value when come to sale time. For me I much prefer the Polo GTi but if I'm spending that much, I might as well get a Golf GTi. Oh well, get a 2/3+ year 2nd hand Polo GTi that run-in for a while.
