When the noise cancellation feature or ambient sound mode is enabled, wind noise may be louder depending on the environment. If this happens, check the following: In the Sony Headphones Connect app Sound → Ambient Sound Control, and then select Automatic Wind Noise Cancellation. If you are bothered by wind noise when automatic wind noise cancellation is enabled, set the noise cancellation function and ambient sound mode to OFF. Quiet. Uncomfortable. Poor battery.

    Skip these.

I'm still running the XM3s - and the only reason I'd change for these is to get away from the 'Frankenstein' bolt look of the XM3s. I even have spare Varta batteries for when they start to lose effective charge.

Will wait for these to drop below £100 before considering.

Heat added for what are, by all accounts and previous model, class leading TWS ANC buds.

Where do you get the batteries from? I have a pair I bought from an auction and they only last a few hours.

Not really sure it's worth it, with the WF-1000XM5s being so close to being announced and the leaked design (similar to the LinkBuds S) meaning they will be a lot more comfortable than the XM4s.

I managed to get a pair of these last week brand new on eBay for £125. Easily the best earbuds I've ever used, hot!

Tried these. The right one kept disconnecting so sent it back. They're pretty good to be fair and comfortable. Just a bit too big though

Wasn't a fan of these at all. Felt quite big and got uncomfortable after a short while. Noise cancelling was good but ended up returning them due to significant battery drain in the right ear bud. Also got an occasional hiss noise. Probably a faulty set but I wasn't impressed.

Anyone recommend decent tips for these? I thought the Comply ones would be good but they 'go bad' quickly and the fit/audio was better with the originals.

Bought these for 99 off Amazon Warehouse brand new in box. They are awesome and the app is great, too.

So did I but still not sure the anc is working correct. If it is then it isn't great but just ok. May buy these and swap if the original has a fault and return. Same company so I won't feel so guilty. (edited)

Great sounding buds and noise cancelling is the best I have used.

I had two pairs of these, both suffered a pinging/metallic noise when listening podcasts/audio books with certain voices. Sony weren't particularly helpful in the end even though the fault seems to be quite common when you look on Reddit etc. Argos exchanged the first pair but the second pair were even worse so I got a refund Best way to find out if you have a dodgy set is to turn noise cancelling on and "clack" your teeth together hard, you'll hear pinging noise easily. if you get a pair that aren't faulty then they are brilliant. I ended up going with Huawei Freebuds 5i in the end, great value with very good sound & decent noise cancelling aswell .

Thanks for the anc tip. I've actually just ordered to compare to the ones I bought from Amazon Italy like new.

Had these for a year and they had great sound and noise cancelling is the best I've experienced on wireless earbuds (miles better than the AirPod Pro's I have now). Only reason I really switched because the heatwave last year (maybe 2 years ago now - can't remember) proved to be hard for them and they kept overheating inside the case when not in use or charging and destroyed the battery! Even worse is I was only a couple of days over the warranty expiry lol. Ended up switching to iPhone from Android and wanted something that would 'just work' better with it. Otherwise I would've been happy buying another pair of these
