Portal 2

Portal™ is a new single player game from Valve. Set in the mysterious Aperture Science Laboratories, Portal has been called one of the most innovative new games on the horizon and will offer gamers hours of unique gameplay.

The game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment; similar to how Half-Life® 2's Gravity Gun innovated new ways to leverage an object in any given situation.

Players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuvering objects, and themselves, through space.

    Not played either of these but they have been in my backlog for ages. Personally not a big puzzle game fan but i'm assuming these are the best of the best? are the puzzles difficult?

    They're excellent, the puzzles are gradual but not especially difficult, sometimes tricky to get right, but moreover they're a lot of fun and there's a lot of humour throughout, and so many Easter eggs.

    If you have a modern Nvidia graphics card you get a free upgrade for ray tracing included with Portal.

    I upped mine to RTX and my beast of a PC/GFX card struggled ....

    Then I read the instructions and made the necessary and documented changes ....

    Also changed the resolution from 4K to something smaller..... Duh!

    And it's stunning and plays 'Beautifully'

    A sad case of RTFM for me!!!

    I Absolutely adored these games... brilliant concept.
    Playing CO-OP is hilarious if you are a cruel person, but so very rewarding to figure out a strategy together, to get 'Cake' (edited)

    If you already own one of the games it still gives you a 25% bundle discount on the one you don't own, so the bundle deal is probably the best way to get either one or both (though admittedly it is only a 21p saving per game!).
