Paid more than this for for a 20 year old secondhand pub one
Advanced Braced Leg DesignThe Lynx stands firm and proud, thanks to the advanced braced leg design. It's based on designs found on heavier slate bed tables to give your Lynx maximum strength and stability, with no wobbles during play.

Built into the legs are four adjustable levelling feet. These feet can be adjusted with a single spanner to lift or lower a corner of the table. Use a spirit level or even just a ball roll to calculate where your levelling needs adjusting. It's so easy.

3935130_1.jpgInternal Ball Return System as StandardOne of our favourite features on the Lynx Pro is its internal ball return system. This feature, commonly found on slate bed tables, means that balls are redirected to a collection area at one end of the table after being potted. Now you don't have to worry about filling up drop pockets or emptying six pockets by hand.

The ball return chutes built into the cabinet are rubber-lined. This helps to dampen the sounds made by potted balls as they travel through the table, so it's quiet when operating.

3935130_1.jpgFast, Consistent Grey ClothThe cloth on this table is a high-quality composite material. It's designed to give players excellent ball control for slow-speed, technical cueing, and fast ball speeds and long travel for power shots.

It's a deep grey in colour, which complements the beautiful white finish of the table itself to create a really striking, modern style.

3935130_1.jpgAccurate, Consistent Cushion ResponseYou'll love the lively rebound that you get from the quality L-shaped rubber cushions that are fitted to the Lynx. Designed to spring balls back into play, they reward confident players and adventurous shots with total consistency, allowing for exciting rebound shots.

When combined with the cloth, you'll find that the Lynx is a great player with all the performance you need for a fun casual game.

3935130_1.jpgTough Chromed Corner CapsThe table is built in a strong wood composite, tough enough to withstand lots of play even from the most boisterous young members of the family. For extra protection, the Lynx is fitted with chromed corner caps that soak up accidental knocks and keep your table looking great.

Combining excellent play characteristics with lots of advanced features, the Lynx is the coolest home pool table on the market right now.

  • Wood composite playfield of 18mm depth.

This table was this price all around Christmas and New Year. Seems to be their seasonal price, but not an offer or deal. Voting cold as anybody in the market to buy a table can wait around for one, so waiting around until Christmas or another holiday won't be a problem.

Also, just noticed that the description doesn't mention the difference between a slate and MDF bed, as all the other comments do. DO NOT BE FOOLED. An 'old pub one' (assuming it's slate) will be far superior to this with a bit of TLC. If you want quality, can wait, and are prepared to put a bit of work in, stalk Facebook marketplace for a decent slate bed and rent a van. (edited)

Is this still good ? Would it warp?

If not in a good temperature for a while it could do, both hot and cold.

More importantly, it won't have the same roll feel that slate does - and it can be quite different if you enjoy pool.

If you're serious about pool, you'd want a slate bed as the roll is considered to be perfectly true.

If you just want a bit of fun with the family then this would be ideal, and much lighter too

I had an pro mdf table at home and played on it loads, but it really didn't 'improve' my pool play on a slate bedded table, in fact it could be said that it hampered it due to the difference in roll and the cushions not being true. (edited)

Very heavy. I'd estimate a standard slate weighs 150KG and doesn't have anywhere to hold it easily. You ideally need 4 people to lift with ease. I managed with 2 in places, but it was touch and go.

Wow! so much research and justification for not giving a like. I'm impressed

£59 delivered to Central Scotland lol. Anyone in Scotland that pays that while rest of UK get it free is a mug.

Had a mdf 5 foot at work.. I find the felt is the main thing that effects roll etc, I reckon I'd have this for the garage having played on one every lunch break for a year.. I'm medeocre but can 7 ball someone on a good day.. I would just be wary on the hard curve/swerve balls you wouldn't want to play down on mdf to often deffo would dent ever so slightly.

My only wins were when my 12-year-old brother-in-law gave the odd one away to keep me interested, Turned out to be pretty good though unlike me who had several embarrasing attempts at snooker.

It's just practice and some common sense is crucial to get half decent.
My grandad taught me when I stayed at his on weekends when I was about 8 years old and within a few years I was pretty good, wish I could still play now like I did at 9-11 years old.
Unfortunately he died when I was 11 and I stopped playing until recently, but i was much better at 11 lol

I bought a slate pool table from these guys and the quality is perfect but I can't comment on this table, only on Liberty Games. At the end of the day my slate table cost £1500 and this is a third of the price. They are expensive but only sell quality gear.

Usually if the pub has a few teams in.league they will look after theirs. Could start there.

True, mine is and weighs a tonne, probably literally, not necessary for a muck about in the house/garage/man cave etc.

Practice makes a big difference assuming you have a reasonable cueing action which needs to be fairly smooth. Also a reasonable cue and a decent tip make a difference. Pub cues tend to be rubbish. (edited)

My nephew got one of these, the 3 in 1 which was pool, table tennis and standard dining table, it's fine for a knockabout but that's about it. The mosconi cup selectors won't be knocking down your door ( yeah I know that's 9 ball on a massive table but still, for comedy effect )

I picked up a 6ft x 3.6ft slate pool table with 3 people.... But wished there was 4 of us!

Why is this so hot, pretty much standard for a non slate table. Got a similar one myself, with a top to turn it into a dining table
