Re the Hot Chicolate being tasteless. Put the pod in hot water for a minute or so to melt it a bit, these are pastes so if you melt them a bit they then dispense the whole measure. The chocolate drink is then much much better

Are they not the same size, just that the Milka ones have a milk pod as well? So you only get 8 drinks for £3.79 rather than 16 for £3 with this deal? I'd rather just heat up some milk in the microwave first anyway

This might have been said, but if you buy a Tassimo and register it on their site you get a £20 voucher to spend. I think it was £20 if I remember rightly

If your kitchen isn't warm though, you need to put the disk in a mug of hot water for a minute first, to melt it. Then you'll get all the chocolate out - the difference is incredible.

Totally agree - having tried all three on several occasions and with a good bit of experimenting on the method used, the Suchard is much the nicest, but with any of the hot chocolates a little work is required to get the best results.

The tip about putting the pods in hot water for a minute before using them works well, and on the rare occasions there's still some left in the pod, just slit the top and pour it into your mug at the end. Also, whether you've added the syrup manually or not, always give your chocolate a good stir before drinking.

As someone else said above, I use two Suchard pods to make one mug, but I also use the manual function to stop the brewing early on each pod when the liquid coming through begins to look weaker, so I end up with a drink about 1.5x as strong and 1.5x as big as putting one pod through on the automatic setting. Since Suchard doesn't use milk pods, this still gives me 8 drinks per pack, the same as you get from the Cadbury or Milka, and the result is lovely!

Suchard hot chocolate very nice, but it's quite a small drink. Half a normal mug.

    Heat added for the deal.

Always warm the hot chocolate disc up in a cup of hot water first, or it will leave most of the chocolate in the pod

I think these are really good with a Mastro Lorenzo Intenso espresso and a milk pod, makes a rich, strong mocha.

I think these are much nicer than the Cadbury ones. For anyone that doesnt know, the Cadbury's come in packs of 16 disc/8 drinks, as each drink is a chocolate disc and a milk one. However the Suchard ones come as just the chocolate, so 16 drinks. However theyre very small and rich, so a milk pod, or a little milk added, makes them go further. My son has two of the Suchard choc discs and just tops it up with a little cold milk.

The Suchard Chocolate is my favourite - once its dispensed, stir it so it mixes together properly. Its also the best one to make a Mocha with. And its great with marshmallows on top too.

I've tried all three chocolates and Suchard is the nicest IMHO. Drop it in a mug of hot tap water for 30 seconds and it melts lovely and goes through the machine fine.

Free delivery available until Wednesday night. Costa Latte Caramel are £4.99 everywhere so if you live them like I do use the TASSIMO10 code to get 2 packets free.
