How much heat does it give out to its surroundings? Is there any recommended distance between it and surfaces?

It says to leave a 5 inch gap between the wall behind as it vents from there. I just pull it out slightly when using it, doesn't get too hot

Dropping in price tomorrow - will be £89.98 online, likely cheaper still in store.

What is it with Chinese and French names? Second one I'm coming across today.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say this one was made by a French company and the other one was made by a Chinese company.

Did anyone else's come with the screen scratched? Wiped it with a cloth and it scratched even more... Not sure if there's a film on it but can't seem to get it off if there is

T-Cut is the next step, or headlights dull or scratch/repair kit.
    Or toothpaste.

You want just enough abrasion to take off that surface layer, then polish up. (edited)

Is this any good? Been after one for a while and this seems a good price but have no knowledge of these.

Depends on how many you are cooking for, we have the Ninja AF300UK with same capacity as this but there's only 2 of us now the kids have flown so it's fine. There are now some 9 litre ones on the market and some with 3 year warranties thrown in. But not quite as cheap as this (but if you aren't an online member IIRC you have to add £15 to this price?) Any more comments from those who’ve bought one? Trying to decide between this and the equivalent Ninja… (edited)

I’m happy with mine but I don’t really have anything to compare it to. I haven’t got to grips with the sync button yet but probably just need to spend a bit more time reading the instructions properly!

Just got one, first impressions are it looks good and cooks great.

It seems almost identical to the ninja in functionality.
