Is this a remaster of the original GameCube game?

Its based off of the PS2 version rather than the Cube one.

Theres a nice comparison of the various versions here:

    This is a great price.

Did the latest patch actually do anything?

If I recall, performance is still 30FPS as this remaster is built off the PS2 version which was locked at 30 instead of 60. Outside of that, it's an OK game but more of a 'missed opportunity' on the developers part

Its a joke that they release an official remaster of this which runs worse than the 2003 original.

I emulate this on my Steam Deck and it looks amazing upscaled and at 60fps. There is no excuse for this lacklustre port.

Yep, it's a terrible port of a poor version. Stick with the Gamecube original.

I've had bad experiences with this company. Often they don't send pre- orders on time, they re-seal used games and sell them as new and they don't replace or repair items under warranty. Look at neg. feedback on trustpilot etc.

I have in the past used them without any problems, but if anything goes wrong customer service is terrible. Can't phone them either.

It's amazing how you now resort to posting the negativity on almost every post now. Ok I've only seen it twice, but the perception is there.

Last time you had people respond saying they never had any issues, this time you will too.

It's a shame you did, but you don't need to plaster it everywhere.
I've ordered from them many times, admittedly never had issues until recently where they missed two pre order release day arrivals (that was through their eBay shop), the first got lost in the post, but they did resolve reasonably and were responsive.

Anyone else having issues with the game collection? I can’t browse through the switch games without it dying all the time and won’t load.

They've been having site issues all day, last update they were still working on fixing it. Pretty bad timing given the sale.

Don't bother. Performance in this is poor: it even has loading screens at points that weren't there in the Gamecube original.

The has been improvements in the framerate on the latest patch (v1.3) in recent days.
